The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is the main stock exchange in Sri Lanka that utilizes an electronic trading platform. The CSE headquarters have been located at the World Trade Center (Colombo) Towers in Colombo since 1995, and it has regional branches in Kandy, Jaffna, Negombo, Matara, Kurunegala, Anuradhapura and Ratnapura. The CSE trades 296 companies representing 20 business sectors, as of 25 January 2021, with a combined market capitalization of 3,699 billion Sri Lankan rupees.

Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd (MCX) is a commodity exchange based in India. It was established in 2003 by the Government of India and is currently based in Mumbai. It is India's largest commodity derivatives exchange. The average daily turnover of commodity futures contracts increased by 26% to ₹32,424 crore during FY2019-20, as against ₹25,648 crore in FY2018-19. The total turnover of commodity futures traded on the Exchange stood at ₹83.98 lakh crore in FY2019-20. Magadh Stock Exchange Association Ltd (MSEA) is located in Patna, India. It was established in the year 1986. It is one among the 25 odd regional stock exchanges in India. The exchange was disbanded on 3 September 2007 by Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

The S&P SL20, or the Standard & Poor's Sri Lanka 20, is a stock market index, based on market capitalization, that follows the performance of 20 leading publicly traded companies listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange. The 20 companies that make up the index is determined by Standard & Poor's global index methodology, according to which the index's listing is reviewed each year. All S&P SL20 listed stocks are classified according to S&P and MSCI's Global Industry Classification Standard, thereby enabling better comparison of performance of Sri Lanka's largest and most liquid stocks with other global indices.
Nestlé Lanka is a Sri Lanka–based foods company located in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Nestlé Lanka is a subsidiary of Nestlé, a Switzerland based company. Nestlé's products include baby food, medical food, bottled water, breakfast cereals, coffee and tea. The company was founded by the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company in 1906 and incorporated under Nestlé Ceylon Company. Nestlé Lanka is Sri Lanka's largest food company by revenue, with Rs 36.355 billion in 2019. The whole company is controlled by the Nestlé Switzerland parent company. Nestlé S.A. owns over 90 per cent total shares. Nestlé Lanka PLC became the seventh most valuable brand in Sri Lanka worth approximately Rs 21 billion in 2017.
Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC is a manufacturer, distributor and marketer of Petroleum-based lubricants in Sri Lanka. The company is one of the constituents of the S&P Sri Lanka 20 Index and the Chevron Corporation holds a controlling stake (51.00%) of the company's stocks. The company offers engine oils, gear oils, transmission oils under the brand name Havoline while offering diesel vehicle engine oils, industrial lubricants, coolants, brake fluids under the brand name Delo. For the financial year 2019/20, Chevron Lubricants Lanka was ranked 67th in LMD 100, a list of listed companies by revenue in Sri Lanka.
Overseas Realty (Ceylon) PLC is the largest listed real estate company in Sri Lanka. The company is the developer and the proprietor of World Trade Center Colombo and Havelock City. The company was incorporated in 1980 and was listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 1982. The company is ranked amongst the LMD 100, moving 17 positions up to number 76 for the fiscal year 2019/20.
Ceylon Grain Elevators PLC is an animal feed manufacturing company in Sri Lanka. The company was incorporated in 1982 as a result of an agreement between the Government of Sri Lanka and Prima Limited of Singapore. The company was listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 1984. Singapore-based, Prima Limited holds a controlling stake in the company's stocks. Ceylon Grain Elevators is part of the Prima Group in Sri Lanka. The company is ranked 50th in LMD 100, an annual list of listed companies in Sri Lanka by revenue.
Jetwing Symphony PLC is a hotel chain in Sri Lanka. The company was incorporated in 2007. Following an oversubscribed Initial Public Offering in December 2017, the company started publicly trading on the Colombo Stock Exchange in January 2018. Jetwing Symphony is the holding company of the Jetwing Group's new hotels. As of 2022, Jetwing Symphony manages seven properties across the country.
Renuka Holdings PLC, also called Renuka Group, is a conglomerate company in Sri Lanka. Ceylonese businessman Alfred Thambiyah laid the foundations of the Renuka Group by acquiring the Crago Boat Dispatch Company in 1936 and establishing Renuka Hotel, named after his youngest daughter Indu Renuka in 1969. Indu Renuka Rajiyah founded Renuka Enterprises in 1975, and Renuka Holdings in 1979 marked the formal beginning of the group. Renuka Holdings went public in 2008 and following the listing on the Colombo Stock Exchange, the company pursued a growth strategy. Renuka Holdings is one of the LMD 100 companies in Sri Lanka and also one of the 20 largest conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
