The council of judges and its executive committee are appointed each year by the president of the American Advertising Federation and chair of the Advertising Hall of Fame. These distinguished industry executives are chosen from the ranks of advertisers, agencies, media organizations and academic institutions in the United States. The council of judges considers the election of either living or deceased persons whose record of advertising and service must be accomplished in the United States or with an American company abroad. To be eligible, individuals must be retired from their primary careers.

The One Club is an American non-profit organization that recognizes and promotes excellence in advertising. Founded in New York City as The One Club for Art & Copy, The One Club produces four annual award competitions: One Show, One Show Design, One Show Interactive and One Show Entertainment. The One Show Festival is held in accord with Creative Week NYC. According to The Fundamentals of Creative Advertising., "The One Club produces advertising's most prestigious awards program." The One Show coveted pencil award statues are made by New York firm, Society Awards.

David John Abbott was a British advertising executive who founded Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO. He was one of the most celebrated advertising executives in the world and regarded as the greatest copywriter of his generation. Highlights of his career include the creation of the J.R. Hartley television commercial for Yellow Pages as well as work for Volkswagen, Volvo, The Economist, The RSPCA, Sainsbury's Supermarkets and Chivas Regal.

Philip Bernard Dusenberry was an American advertising executive for the BBDO advertising agency.

Ring of Fire Studios is a digital effects and design company located in Venice, California. Launched in 1996, the company focuses on commercial advertising work but also does visual effects, animation and pre-visualization for features, television, music videos and live events.

Rob Pearlstein is a writer and director. He is best known as the writer and director of Our Time is Up, the film for which he was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film.

Steve Hayden is a well-known figure in the field of advertising. He is the Vice Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Worldwide. Bob Isherwood is an Australian businessman, global advertising creative leader, and the co-founder of ONE School.

Mark Fitzloff is an American advertising creative director and the founder of the Opinionated advertising agency. He is most known for his work at Wieden+Kennedy on Nike and Coca-Cola, and for reviving Procter & Gamble's Old Spice brand. He is also the executive producer and screenwriter of Tempbot, Neill Blomkamp's cult short film.

Frank Budgen was a British commercial director and co-founder of Gorgeous Enterprises, a London-based film production company. He was voted as the Directors Guild of America commercial director of the year in 2007. His notable works include Tag and Mountain.

Allan "Jo" Johnston is an Australian advertising creative executive and copywriter who was successful as a jingle writer, particularly in the 1970s and 1980s. He was born in Adelaide, Australia. Together with his long-time business partner Alan Morris, he formed the Australian advertising agency Mojo which enjoyed much Australian and some international success in the 1980s and whose name survived until 2016 as Publicis Mojo, the Australian subsidiary of the French multinational advertising and communications company holding Publicis Groupe.
