Nantucket County ranks highest with an HDI of 0.975, driven by high life expectancy, high per capita income, and strong education metrics. Closely following are Middlesex (0.973) and Norfolk (0.969) counties. At the lower end, Hampden (0.933), Bristol (0.935), and Berkshire (0.936) counties have the lowest human development indices.
