In 1966, the senior school moved to the former Southend High School for Girls and Dowsett High School site in Boston Avenue, leaving the primary school at MacDonald Avenue. Southend-on-Sea, commonly referred to as Southend, is a coastal city and unitary authority area with borough status in south-eastern Essex, England. It lies on the north side of the Thames Estuary, 40 miles (64 km) east of central London. It is bordered to the north by Rochford and to the west by Castle Point. Westcliff High School for Boys (WHSB) is an 11–18 selective boys academy grammar school in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, England. In September 2001 the school was awarded ‘Beacon’ status for its breadth of achievements and quality of work. The school was classed as a humanities college in early 2007 and received a further specialism in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) on 1 April 2009. The school converted to academy status in 2010.

St Clere's School is a coeducational co-operative secondary school with academy status located on the outskirts of Stanford Le Hope, Thurrock, Essex. The school was established in 1978, became an academy in 2011 and since 2013 has also been a specialist science and sports college. It has a "good" Ofsted rating and has a student population of 1342 as of 2021.
