Bhavatharini Raja was an Indian playback singer. She was the only daughter of noted film composer Ilaiyaraaja and sister of Yuvan Shankar Raja and Karthik Raja. Starting her career in the 1990s, she mostly sang songs under the direction of her father and brothers. She was awarded the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2000 for her rendition of the song "Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu" from the film Bharathi, composed by her father Ilaiyaraaja.

Marudhanayagam is an unfinished Indian historical drama film directed and produced by Kamal Haasan under his Raaj Kamal Films International banner. Moodu Pani is a 1980 Indian Tamil-language psychological thriller film written, directed and filmed by Balu Mahendra. Starring his then wife Shoba and Pratap, with N. Viswanathan, Gandhimathi, Mohan and Bhanu Chander in supporting roles, it is based on two novels: Idhuvum Oru Viduthalai Thaan (1978) by Rajendra Kumar, and The Collector (1963) by John Fowles. The film follows Chandru (Pratap), who has a strong hatred towards prostitutes and would kill any such woman he encounters. He falls in love with Rekha (Shoba) and believes marrying her will end his psychological distress.
Paasa Paravaigal is a 1988 Indian Tamil-language filmdirected by Cochin Haneefa and written by M. Karunanidhi, with music by Ilaiyaraaja. The film stars Sivakumar, Lakshmi, Mohan and Radhika. It is a remake of Haneefa's own 1986 Malayalam film Moonnu Masangalku Mumbu. The film was released on 29 April 1988 and became a commercial success. It won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Second Best Film, and Radhika won the Best Actress at Cinema Express Awards.
M. Manikandan is an Indian film director, writer, producer, and cinematographer who works in Tamil cinema. He began his career as an assistant cinematographer in Tamil films. He made his directorial debut with the short film Wind (2010) and got his breakthrough in feature films like Kaaka Muttai (2015), which won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. In 2022, he produced the film Kadaisi Vivasayi, for which he received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil.
