Ad jingles

Hindustan Coca-Cola collaborated with Ilaiyaraaja for its ad jingles. This is the first time Raja has done a commercial jingle.[ citation needed ]

Country Delight collaborated with Ilaiyaraaja for an ad.

Many of Ilaiyaraaja's songs were used as jingles in advertisements. Filmmaker R Balki has used them in many of his ads either as a musical note or a jingle composed to the same tune. [22]

She is one of the best-known playback singers in India. Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari, also known by the initialism JVAS, is a 1990 Indian Telugu-language fantasy film directed by K. Raghavendra Rao who co-wrote the script with Jandhyala and Yandamuri Veerendranath. The film stars Chiranjeevi and Sridevi while Amrish Puri, Kannada Prabhakar, Allu Ramalingaiah and Rami Reddy play supporting roles. The film is produced by C. Aswani Dutt on Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The plot revolves around a man who finds a ring that gives the bearer great power, but the goddess who lost the ring seeks it back to return to her world.

Vasudevan, popularly known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a prolific Malaysian Tamil playback singer and actor. Born in the town of Kuala Selangor in the Federated Malay States, he moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu to work in the Kollywood film industry, where he rose to prominence. His voice was recently revived using AI in the song 'Manasilaayo' from the 2024 Tamil film Vettaiyan.

Thambikku Entha Ooru is a 1984 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Rajasekhar and written by Panchu Arunachalam. The film stars Rajinikanth, Maadhavi and Sulakshana. It revolves around a spoilt rich man who is forced to live in a village for one year to learn discipline. The film was released on 20 April 1984 and became a super hit at the box office. It was later remade in Kannada as Anjada Gandu (1988).

Karakattakkaran is a 1989 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy dance film written and directed by Gangai Amaran. The film stars Ramarajan and debutant Kanaka, while Santhana Bharathi, Chandrasekhar, Goundamani, Senthil, Shanmugasundaram, Raja Bahadur, Gandhimathi and Kovai Sarala play supporting roles. It revolves around two karakattam dancers who fall in love with each other, but circumstances prevent them from confessing their love for one another. How they overcome these forms the rest of the story.

Sripriya is an Indian former actress, film director and politician from Tamil Nadu. She has acted in over 300 films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.

Sulakshana is an Indian actress who has performed in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada films and serials. She started at the age of two and half in the movie Kaaviya Thalaivi as child Krishna, she was credited as Dolly. After that she acted in Thulabharam as child artist in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Hindi and credited as Rajani.

Vennira Aadai Moorthy is an Indian actor and comedian in Tamil cinema. He has starred in many Tamil films and television serials as a comedian and also played supporting roles. He is a lawyer by education, and holds a B.L. degree in addition to a PhD in astrology. He is married to actress Manimala who played Suhasini's mother in Sindhu Bhairavi and the heroine in Vallavanukku Vallavan (1965). He is also a well known script-writer. Kamal Haasan's first full-fledged film as hero Maalai Sooda Vaa, had Murthy as a script writer.

<i>Abhinandana</i> 1988 Indian film

Abhinandana (transl. Commendation) is a 1988 Indian Telugu-language musical romance film written and directed by Ashok Kumar. Starring Sarath Babu, Karthik and Shobana and the film received positive reviews, and three state Nandi Awards, including the Nandi Award for Second Best Feature Film. The film was dubbed and released in Tamil as Kaadhal Geetham. The film was remade in Kannada as Abhinandane, and the 2005 Bollywood film Bewafaa borrowed its main plot from the film. The soundtrack composed by Ilaiyaraaja became a chartbuster.

Jai Ganesh was an Indian actor who appeared in Tamil plays and films. He had supporting roles in the films Aval Oru Thodar Kathai and Aattukara Alamelu, among others. His most popular roles have been as a supporting actor or as a villain in films such as Thaayillamal Naan Illai (1979) and Athisaya Piravi (1990). He acted as child artiste in films like Sampoorna Ramayanam and Missiamma.

Rajeev is an Indian actor, predominantly working in the Tamil film industry. He has also appeared in Malayalam films with the hit films Ustaad (1999), F.I.R (1999), Sathyam (2004) and Collector (2011). He is mainly noted for his villain role as Narendra Shetty in the 1999 crime thriller film F. I. R..

<i>Neethaane En Ponvasantham</i> (soundtrack) 2012 soundtrack album by Ilaiyaraaja

Neethaane En Ponvasantham is the soundtrack album, composed by Ilaiyaraaja, to the Indian romance film of the same name, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon that stars Jiiva and Samantha. The album features eight tracks, with lyrics penned by Na. Muthukumar. The album was one of the most anticipated musicals of 2012 in Tamil cinema. The production house sold the musical rights at an altitudinous price of 20 million (US$240,000), setting a record price for audio rights acquirement which were sold to Sony Music India. It was released during a live concert on 1 September 2012. The film's Telugu version, Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, also directed by Gautham Menon, reuses the same soundtrack.

Enga Ooru Pattukaran is a 1987 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed by Gangai Amaran. The film stars Ramarajan, Rekha and Nishanthi, with Senthamarai, Vinu Chakravarthy, Senthil, Kovai Sarala and S. S. Chandran playing supporting roles. It was released on 14 April 1987. The film was a major success, and gave a breakthrough for Ramarajan and Rekha. After this film, Ramarajan-Gangai Amaran duo were known as one of the successful duos in Tamil cinema then.

R. Dilip was an Indian actor who starred in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam films.

Thalapathy Dinesh is an Indian action choreographer who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He started his career in the cinema as an extra fighter in Naan Sigappu Manithan, and later he became a stunt master and actor. Stunt masters like Stun Siva, Peter Hein, Anal Arasu, Rajasekhar, Hari Dinesh, Pradeep Dinesh, Supreme Sundar, Vicky, and Theeppori Nithya have worked as fighters and assistants to him. His sons Hari Dinesh and Pradeep Dinesh are also stunt masters.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">B. S. Lokanath</span> Indian cinematographer

B. S. Lokanath was an Indian cinematographer who worked in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi films. He is well known as the cinematographer of K. Balachander and has worked in 55 films with him. During his career, he won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography for Apoorva Raagangal (1975) and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Cinematographer for Ninaithale Inikkum (1979). He died of a heart attack in Chennai on 9 December 2011.

K. K. Rathnam, known as Judo Rathnam, was an Indian action choreographer in Kollywood, Bollywood, Mollywood, Sandalwood and Tollywood. He made his debut as an actor in the film Thamarai Kulam in 1959, and later made his debut as a stunt master in the film Vallavan Oruvan in 1966. He made his last appearance as an actor before retirement in the film Thalainagaram in 2006. Stunt masters and actors such as Vikram Dharma, Super Subbarayan, Thalapathy Dinesh, Jaguar Thangam, Rocky Rajesh, Rambo Rajkumar, FEFSI Vijayan, Stun Siva, Ponnambalam, Judo. K. K. Ramu, Indian Baskar, Rajasekhar, Ambur. R. S. Babu, M. Shahul Hameed, Kundrathur Babu, Azhagu & Vengal Rao have worked as fighters and assistants to him. His son Judo. K. K. Ramu is also a stunt master, while his grandsons Judo Lenin and John Prince are stunt artists.

<i>Enga Ooru Kavakkaran</i> 1988 Indian film

Enga Ooru Kavakkaran is a 1988 Indian Tamil language film, directed by T. P. Gajendran and produced by Kalyani Murugan. The film stars Ramarajan, Gautami, M. N. Nambiar and T. P. Gajendran. It was released on 27 August 1988, and became a success, with a 100-day theatrical run.

Yenigandla Vijaya is an Indian actress and classical dancer. She has appeared in more than 1400 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages.
