The list of longest-serving ministers in Indonesia is a list of the longest serving ministers in the cabinets of Indonesia, which have served ten years or longer, sorted by length.
All ministers who had served between the Third Development Cabinet until the Seventh Development Cabinet were mandatorily seated by Suharto as members of the advisory council of the Golkar party. [1] Bold minister name means the minister is currently serving.

The Party of Functional Groups, often known by its abbreviation Golkar, is a centre to centre-right catch-all political party in Indonesia. It was founded as the Joint Secretariat of Functional Groups in 1964, and participated for the first time in national elections in 1971 as Functional Groups.
The United Development Party is an Islam-based political party in Indonesia. Due to its distinctive logo, the party is known as the "Kaaba Party".
The People's Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia, is one of two elected chambers of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), the national legislature of Indonesia. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, commonly referred to as SBY, is an Indonesian politician and retired army general who served as the sixth president of Indonesia from 2004 to 2014 and the second Indonesian President from the military after Suharto. He founded the Democratic Party of Indonesia, he served as the 4th leader of the Democratic Party from 2014 until 2020, 8th and 10th Coordinating Minister of Politics and Security Affairs of Indonesia from 2000 until 2001, and again from 2001 until 2004. He also served as the president of the Assembly and chair of the Council of the Global Green Growth Institute. He was also the former chairman of ASEAN due to Indonesia's hosting of the 18th and 19th ASEAN Summits.
Muhammad Jusuf Kalla, commonly referred to by his initials JK, is an Indonesian politician and businessman who served as the 10th and 12th vice president of Indonesia, the only vice president in Indonesian history to serve two non-consecutive terms in office. He was unsuccessful as Golkar's presidential nominee in the 2009 presidential election. Before Kalla declared himself as the running mate for Joko Widodo in the 2014 presidential election, a 2012 poll placed his popularity among likely voters in the top three contenders for the presidency and ahead of his own party's nominee Aburizal Bakrie.
Agung Laksono is an Indonesian politician and businessman who is serving as a member of the Presidential Advisory Council since 2019. A member of Golkar, Agung previously served as Coordinating Minister for People's Welfare in the Second United Indonesia Cabinet from 2009 to 2014 and as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2009.
Legislative elections were held in Indonesia on 9 June 1992, to select 400 of the 500 members of the People's Representative Council (DPR). The election was the sixth legislative elections since Indonesian independence and the fifth legislative elections under the New Order regime of president Suharto. The election resulted in a clear victory for Golkar, which retained its status as the ruling party, although the opposition, under the United Development Party (PPP) and the Indonesian Democratic Party (PDI), saw their vote shares rise.
The People's Conscience Party, better known by its abbreviation, Hanura, is a political party in Indonesia. It was established following a meeting in Jakarta on 13–14 December 2006 and first headed by former Indonesian National Armed Forces commander Wiranto. The party lost its seats in the People's Representative Council after a poor performance in the 2019 general election.
Harmoko, colloquially referred to as Bung Harmoko, was an Indonesian politician and journalist who was active during the New Order era. He served as the Speaker of the People's Representative Council from 1997 until 1999, and was a factor in president Suharto's resignation during the widespread student demonstrations which occurred at the end of the New Order.

Bambang Soesatyo, more colloquially referred to as Bamsoet, is an Indonesian politician and businessman, who is currently serving as the 15th Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly since 2019, and as a Member of the House of Representatives since 2009. A member of Golkar, he previously served as the 18th Speaker of the House of Representatives following the resignation of Setya Novanto.
Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita is an Indonesian politician. He is the current Minister of Industry in the Republic of Indonesia, appointed on 24 August 2019.
Siswono Yudo Husodo is an Indonesian politician and businessman who was the Minister of Transmigration and Minister of Public Housing during the New Order era. He was a vice presidential candidate in the 1999 presidential vote and the 2004 presidential election.
Albert Mangaratua Tambunan was the chairman and the general secretary of the Indonesian Christian Party, and the first deputy speaker of the People's Representative Council, serving for two terms. Beddu Amang was an Indonesian economist. He served as the head of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog) from 1995 to 1998. Born and raised in South Sulawesi, Beddu migrated to Yogyakarta and finished his university education at the Gadjah Mada University.
Wiranto Arismunandar was an Indonesian academic. He served as the rector of the Bandung Institute of Technology from 1988 until 1997 and as a minister of education and culture for two months in 1998.
Djohari Kahar was an Indonesian politician and lecturer. A member of Golkar, he served as Chairman of the West Sumatra Regional People's Representative Council and also represented West Sumatra on the People's Representative Council and the People's Consultative Assembly.
