The List of Members of the 12th Provincial Assembly of Balochistan is a comprehensive record of the elected representatives who constitute the 12th Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. The first meeting of this assembly was convened on 28 February 2024. [1] The members, often referred to as MPAs, were sworn in at a ceremony held in Quetta. The assembly includes representatives from various political parties including Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), and Balochistan Awami Party (BAP). [2]

    Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi was the 20th governor of Balochistan Province since 28 February 2008 to 9 June 2013 as well as the chief executive of Balochistan since 14 January 2013. He is the Nawab and Tumandar of the Magsi Tribe, a former governor and a former chief executive of Balochistan, a senior politician and the former chief minister of Balochistan province in the Benazir Bhutto government of 1993–1996. Nawab was appointed as the chief executive of Balochistan on 13 January 2013 after the sacking of Aslam Raisani's unpopular government and imposition of Governor's Rule. It was the main after effect of the January 2013 Pakistan bombings. Nawab Magsi did his schooling from Aitchison College, Lahore. He first came to politics in 1977, when he won as an independent candidate seat from his native constituency in the provincial assembly. However, his family was involved in Balochistan politics before Pakistani independence. He served in many provincial ministries and also worked in the Home Ministry in the 1990s. In 1993, his coalition won majority of seats and he became Chief Minister of Balochistan.

    A Member of the Provincial Assembly, or MPA is a representative elected by the voters of an electoral district to the legislature or legislative assembly of a subnational jurisdiction. In Pakistan, the members are elected by the voters in provinces for a term of five years.

    <span class="mw-page-title-main">2013 Pakistani presidential election</span>

    Presidential elections were held on 30 July 2013 in Pakistan to elect the 12th President of Pakistan. Incumbent President Asif Ali Zardari’s term was scheduled to expire on 8 September 2013; and as such, Article 41 of the Constitution of Pakistan required the elections to be held no later than 8 August 2013. The Electoral College of Pakistan – a joint sitting of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies – were tasked with electing a new president to succeed President Zardari, who declined to seek a second term in office. After the Pakistan Peoples Party and its allies boycotted the presidential election, the two candidates were Mamnoon Hussain backed by the Pakistan Muslim League (N), and Wajihuddin Ahmed backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Agra-born Hussain was elected president by a majority securing 432 votes. The elections were the first time in Pakistani history where a civilian president was elected while an incumbent civilian President was still in office, completing a historic and democratic transition of power that began with the 2013 General Elections.

    Dr. Hamid Khan Achakzai is a Pakistani politician and doctor from Balochistan affiliated with the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party.

    Abdul Majeed Khan Achakzai is a Pakistani politician from Balochistan affiliated with the Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party. Born in 1962 in Gulistan, he is an agriculturist by profession and is a graduate of the University of Balochistan. From 2002 to 2007, he served as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. He was elected from the PB-13 constituency.

    Hafiz Hamdullah Saboor is a Pakistani politician who previously served as the member of Senate of Pakistan, and the provincial health minister of Balochistan.

    Jam Kamal Khan is a Pakistani politician who is currently serving as Federal Minister of Commerce since 11 March 2024. He also served as the 16th Chief Minister of Balochistan, between August 2018 and October 2021. He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from August 2018 till August 2023.

    Manzoor Ahmed Kakar is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the Senate of Pakistan from January 2019 till March 2021 and again since March 2021. He was also a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, from May 2013 to March 2018. He has also served as Provincial Minister of Revenue. He is currently holding the portfolio of General Secretary of the Balochistan Awami Party.

He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from August 2018 to August 2023 and from August 2013 to May 2018.

    Shahida Rauf is a Pakistani politician who is incumbent Member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since 18 February 2024. Previously she was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, from October 2002 to May 2018.

    Maulana Noorullah is a Pakistani politician Pakistani politician and ethnic Pashtun tribesman. He is currently serving as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since February 2024.
