The following is a list of public holidays in Romania. According to Romanian law, Romania had 51 public holidays as of 2011, which cover 14% of the days of the year in the country.

1990 Romanian general election

General elections were held in Romania on 20 May 1990 to elect the President and members of Parliament. They were the first elections held after the overthrow of the Communist regime six months earlier and the first free elections held in the country since 1937. It was also the first time the president had been directly elected, the position having been previously elected by the legislature since it was introduced in 1974.

Stadionul Francisc von Neuman (1946)

Francisc von Neuman Stadium was a multi-purpose stadium in Arad, Romania. It was used mostly for football matches and was the home ground of FC UTA Arad, one of the most successful teams in Romanian club football. The stadium used to hold up to 7,287 people, all on seats, and was built in 1944.

The Romanian Radio Broadcasting Company, informally referred to as Radio Romania, is the public radio broadcaster in Romania. It operates FM and AM, and internet national and local radio channels. The local stations are branded under the Radio România Regional umbrella.

Adrian Ioan Hora is a Romanian professional footballer who plays for FC Hermannstadt. Deployed mainly as a winger during the first part of his career, he later found more success in the centre as a main striker.

Marin Anastasovici Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium in Giurgiu, Romania. It is built on the site of the former stadium. The venue was opened in 2014 and currently serves as the home for Astra Giurgiu of the Liga I. It has a seat capacity of 8,500.

The Commission for the Study and Evaluation of the Communist Totalitarian Regime of the Republic of Moldova is a commission instituted in Moldova by Acting President of Moldova Mihai Ghimpu to investigate the Moldavian SSR, the state which administered the country as a Soviet Socialist Republic from 1940 to 1991, and provide a comprehensive report with the purpose of condemnation of Communism as experienced by Moldovan people.

<i>Românii au talent</i>

Românii au talent is a TV show which began airing on 18 February 2011. The project acts as a Romanian version of the franchise Got Talent, developed by Simco Limited. The show is hosted by Smiley and Pavel Bartoș, while the opening judge panel consisted of presenter Andi Moisescu, singer Andra and dancer Mihai Petre; following Petre's exclusion for the fifth season, TV presenter Mihaela Rădulescu and actor Florin Călinescu joined the panel. The winner of "Românii au talent" is awarded with €120,000.

Dansez pentru tine was a show produced and broadcast on television station Pro TV, presented and moderated by Ștefan Bănică, Jr. and Iulia Vântur, now broadcast on Antena 1. It was the most watched entertainment show in Romania in recent years as audiences. It was the Romanian version of the BBC's popular Dancing with the Stars, franchise which has been sold to more than 35 countries worldwide.

X Factor is a Romanian television music competition that aims to find a new music talent to become a star. The fourth season began airing on 19 September 2014 on Antena 1.

The Romanian Basketball Cup is an annual cup competition for Romanian basketball teams. The competition is played by first preliminary rounds, and then a Final Four; since 2016 the game to determine the third-placed team will not be played.

The Liga Națională Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award is an annual award that is given to the best player of a given Finals series of the Romanian Liga Națională.

Stadionul Metaloglobus is a multi-use stadium in Bucharest, Romania. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Metaloglobus București. The stadium holds 1,000 people.

Comedy Central (Romanian TV channel)

Comedy Central Romania is the Romanian version of Comedy Central. The channel broadcasts comedy oriented shows. It was launched on 18 September 2016, replacing Comedy Central Extra Adria in the country. Since then it has produced local Romanian content, and became widely popular.

2019 Romanian presidential election Presidential Election in Romania

Presidential elections were held in Romania on 10 November 2019, with a second round held on 24 November 2019. Incumbent President of Romania Klaus Iohannis, first elected in 2014, was eligible for re-election. He defeated Viorica Dăncilă in the second round of the election, receiving 66 percent of the vote – the second-highest vote share on record after Ion Iliescu.

Freedom, Unity and Solidarity Party Political party in Romania

The Party of Liberty, Unity and Solidarity was a pro-European, liberal political party established on October 26, 2018, whose president was Dacian Cioloș, former prime minister of Romania, elected on January 26, 2019. The party had its origin in the Movement Romania Together, a project to which they gave up due to the setting up delay in court. The party merged in 2021 with the Save Romania Union with which it has been in a political alliance called 2020 USR-PLUS Alliance from 2019 to 2021, then formally activating as a sole, unified party known as USR PLUS.

The 2008–09 Liga IV was the 67th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a play-off match played on a neutral venue. The winners of the play-off matches promoted to Liga III.
