Castle of Púbol House-museum

The Castle of Púbol or Gala Dalí Castle House-Museum, located in Púbol in the comarca of Baix Empordà, Girona, Catalonia, Spain, is a medieval building where the surrealist painter Salvador Dalí's enormous creative efforts were focused on a single person, his wife Gala, with the aim of providing her with a unique sanctuary and resting place. In this sense, Gala is buried at the castle. Together with the Salvador Dalí House Museum in Portlligat and the Dalí Theater-Museum in Figueres, they form the Empordà Dalinian triangle.

The Archaeology Museum of Catalonia is an archaeological museum with five venues that exposes the most important archaeological collection of Catalonia, focusing on prehistoric times and ancient history. The museum was originally founded in 1932 by the Republican Government of Catalonia. The modern institution was created under the Museums of Catalonia Act in 1990 by the Ministry of Culture of the same Government.

Bernat Martorell

Bernat Martorell was the leading painter of Barcelona, in modern-day Spain. He is considered to be the most important artist of the International Gothic style in Catalonia. Martorell painted retable panels and manuscript illuminations, and carved sculptures and also provided designs for embroideries.

Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer

The Biblioteca Museu Víctor Balaguer is located in Vilanova i la Geltrú and was founded in 1884 by Víctor Balaguer so as to thank the city for its support during his politician career. Since 2000 the museum is part of the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the library is part of the National Library of Catalonia.

Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network

The Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network, also known as Catalonia’s Biggest Museum, is a tool for support and collaboration from and for the museums of the province, which makes available to municipalities a series of services and actions aimed at improving, through the provision of direct services and research into viable formulas for supramunicipal cooperation, the management, conservation and dissemination of heritage and the museum facilities of the towns of Barcelona province. It is managed from the Cultural Heritage Office, which in turn depends on the Department of Knowledge and New Technologies of Barcelona Provincial Council.

The Vicenç Ros Municipal Museum, in Martorell, occupies one of the sections of an old Capuchin convent dating back to the 17th century and is part of Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network. Opened in 1945, the museum came to be thanks to Vicenç Ros i Batllevell (1883–1970), who donated his large ceramics collection. Over the years, the museum has organised its collection into different categories, which it has expanded: ethnology, art, archaeology, architecture and archives.

Archaeological and Palaeontological Museum – El Toll Caves, Moià Archaeology museum in Moià

The central office of the Archaeological and Palaeontological Museum - El Toll Caves, in Moià (Bages), is located in the birthplace of Rafael Casanova, a building that the museum shares with the Rafael Casanova Birthplace-Museum, which depends on the History Museum of Catalonia. The museum collection includes archaeological collections from the El Toll caves, a complex comprising four caverns and a chasm that were created during the Pliocene Epoch into the Quaternary Period and, to a lesser extent, other archaeological sites in the region. Among the Museum's collection, of particular note are the remains of Quaternary fauna and signs of human presence from the Middle Palaeolithic. The Museum is part of the Barcelona Provincial Council Local Museum Network and also manages the El Toll caves prehistoric park.

Anna Pujol Puigvehi Spanish archaeologist and historian

Anna Pujol Puigvehí. Historian, professor and archaeologist. Bachelor of Arts from the University of Barcelona (1970), with the thesis “The Indiketes as the literary and archaeological sources”, Dr. summa cum laude in History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona with the doctoral thesis on the “Pre-Roman Population of the Northeast of the Iberian Peninsula. Genesis and development of Iberian culture in the Girona and south of France lands” (1981). She has taught at the Autonomous University of Barcelona for over 15 years, and has been Associate professor of Archaeology and Ancient History of the UOC. She won a Chair of Professor of History of Secondary Schools in 1981.

Fishing Museum, Palamós Museum in Palamós, Spain

The Fishing Museum is a museum opened in 2002 and dedicated to the knowledge and dissemination of fishing and the maritime heritage of the Costa Brava. It's located in the area of the fishing port of Palamós, in the old port warehouse called "Tinglado". The permanent exhibition explains the history, the current affairs and the future of Costa Brava fishing in terms of sustainability.

The Museum of the Mediterranean is a museum located in Torroella de Montgrí, founded in 2003, in an attempt to become an area for knowledge, reflection and research for the problems and worries that affect citizens in the 21st century. It is housed in Can Quintana, a 16th-century building. It is dedicated to the knowledge and communication of the Mediterranean Sea and uses the natural sounds, human sounds and music to show the reality of the land, the history and the culture of the village of Torroella, connected with the others Mediterranean cultures and towns. It pretends to become a site to think about the nearest territory and the main issues that affect the different Mediterranean nations.

The Cork Museum

The Cork Museum of Palafrugell, Spain, is a museum about the cork industry in Catalonia. Founded in 1972, the Cork Museum is part of the Costa Brava Museum Network and the Network of Local Museums of Catalonia in Girona.

The Toy Museum is located in the middle of the municipality of Sant Feliu de Guíxols, in the Baix Empordà region of Spain, and contains more than 6,500 pieces collected by Tomàs Pla, dated between the years 1870 and 1980, most of which were made in Spain.
