This is a list of public art in South Ayrshire , one of the 32 local government council areas of Scotland and covers the southern part of Ayrshire. The council area borders onto Dumfries and Galloway, East Ayrshire and North Ayrshire. This list applies only to works of public art on permanent display in an outdoor public space and does not, for example, include artworks in museums.

Baron Pietro Carlo Giovanni Battista Marochetti was an Italian-born French sculptor who worked in France, Italy and Britain. He completed many public sculptures, often in a neo-classical style, plus reliefs, memorials and large equestrian monuments in bronze and marble. In 1848, Marochetti settled in England, where he received commissions from Queen Victoria. Marochetti received great recognition during his lifetime, being made a baron in Italy and was awarded the Legion of Honour by the French government.
Sir William Goscombe John was a prolific Welsh sculptor known for his many public memorials. As a sculptor, John developed a distinctive style of his own while respecting classical traditions and forms of sculpture. He gained national attention with statues of eminent Victorians in London and Cardiff and subsequently, after both the Second Boer War and World War I, created a large number of war memorials. These included the two large group works, The Response 1914 in Newcastle upon Tyne and the Port Sunlight War Memorial which are considered the finest sculptural ensembles on any British monument.
Frederick William Pomeroy was a prolific British sculptor of architectural and monumental works. He became a leading sculptor in the New Sculpture movement, a group distinguished by a stylistic turn towards naturalism and for their works of architectural sculpture. Pomeroy had several significant public works in London and elsewhere in the United Kingdom, notably in Belfast. His work in London includes the figure of Lady Justice (1905–1906) on the dome of the Old Bailey.
William Kellock Brown was a Scottish sculptor prominent in late Victorian Glasgow, with many public works. His brother was the landscape artist Alexander Kellock Brown. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and Royal Scottish Academy. His sculptures are frequently simply initialled WKB. He was commissioned to create several Scottish war memorials in the early 1920s. He received an important commission from Glasgow Corporation in 1905–06, adding ornament to several public libraries in the city.
Charles d’Orville Pilkington Jackson RSA, FRBS, FRSA was a British sculptor prominent in Scotland in the 20th century. Throughout his career he worked closely with the architect Sir Robert Lorimer. He is most noteworthy for his creation of one of Scotland's most iconic landmarks, the statue of Robert the Bruce at Bannockburn.
Thomas John Clapperton FRBS was a Scottish sculptor, famous for the statue of Robert the Bruce at the entrance of Edinburgh Castle erected in 1929.
County Buildings is a municipal complex in Wellington Square, Ayr, Scotland. The complex serves as the meeting place of South Ayrshire Council. The original structure, the former sheriff court at the eastern end of the complex, is Category A listed building, while the main office building at the western end of the complex, is a Category B listed building.
