Sherwood Forest is the remnants of an ancient royal forest in Nottinghamshire, England, having a historic association with the legend of Robin Hood.

Newstead is a civil parish in the Gedling district of Nottinghamshire, England. The parish contains 23 listed buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England. Of these, one is listed at Grade I, the highest of the three grades, two are at Grade II*, the middle grade, and the others are at Grade II, the lowest grade. The parish contains the village of Newstead, and the surrounding area. The most important building in the parish is Newstead Abbey, which is listed, together with a variety of structures in its gardens and grounds. The other listed buildings consist of a railway bridge, two farmhouses, and a war memorial.

Ravenshead is a civil parish in the Gedling district of Nottinghamshire, England. The parish contains eight listed buildings that are recorded in the National Heritage List for England. All the listed buildings are designated at Grade II, the lowest of the three grades, which is applied to "buildings of national importance and special interest". The parish includes the village of Ravenshead and the surrounding area. The listed buildings consist of a house, three boundary stones, and two lodges to Newstead Abbey and associated structures.
