The Deutsche Bahn AG is the national railway company of Germany, and a state-owned enterprise under the control of the German government. Headquartered in the Bahntower in Berlin, it is a joint-stock company (AG) and the largest railway company in the world.
Transdev Germany is the largest private operator of passenger buses and trains in Germany. It is a subsidiary of Transdev.
Halle (Saale) Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in the city of Halle (Saale) in southern part of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The station is situated east of the city centre and is a category 2 station.
Stendal is a railway station in the town of Stendal, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The station lies on the Berlin-Lehrte railway, Hanover–Berlin high-speed railway, Magdeburg-Wittenberge railway, Stendal–Uelzen railway, Stendal-Tangermünde railway and Stendal–Niedergörne railway. It is an important railway hub for regional trains and is also used by Intercity and Intercity-Express (ICE) trains regularly. Until the winter 2012 timetable Stendal station was only by Deutsche Bahn trains. Since December 2012, the station has also been served by some services operated by Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 3 station.
The North West Railway company is a private railway company providing regional train services on several routes in northern and western Germany. It is a joint venture of Stadtwerke Osnabrück AG, Verkehr und Wasser GmbH in Oldenburg and Transdev Germany, Berlin. The head office of the company is in Osnabrück. NWB claims to be Germany's largest regional railway company.
The Erzgebirgsbahn is a German railway company and a RegioNetz subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn. It operates in the Ore Mountains region of southern Saxony, near the towns of Chemnitz and Zwickau.
The Rhein Weser Express is a Regional-Express service route in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, connecting some of the most important cities in Westphalia with the Ruhr. Cologne, Neuss, Düsseldorf and Duisburg lie on the Rhine while Minden lies on the Weser.
The Rhein-Haard-Express is a Regional-Express service in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), running from Osnabrück via Münster, Recklinghausen, Gelsenkirchen, Essen and Duisburg to Düsseldorf.
The Wilhelmshaven–Oldenburg railway is a predominantly double-track, electrified main line in the northwest in the German state of Lower Saxony. It runs to the south from the port city of Wilhelmshaven to Oldenburg.
The Ems-Leine-Express is the name of a German Regional-Express service in North Rhine-Westphalia that has connected the Emsland city of Rheine, Lower Saxony, the regional centre of Osnabrück, the east Westphalian city of Minden and the Lower Saxony regional centres of Hanover and Braunschweig since 5 November 2000.
Hosena station is a station at the junction of the Węgliniec–Roßlau railway and the Lübbenau–Kamenz railway. The station is located in the southeast of the German state of Brandenburg in the village of Hosena, north of the village of Hohenbocka.
Meerane station is a railway station on the Glauchau–Gößnitz railway. Meerane station is the only station in the town of Meerane in the German state of Saxony. The station is now served by Regionalbahn and Regional-Express services on the Mid-Germany Connection (Mitte-Deutschland-Verbindung). Freight transport facilities no longer exist.
The Schönebeck–Güsten railway is a railway in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. The line is, with the exception of the Schönebeck (Elbe)–Schönebeck-Salzelmen section, single track and not electrified.
