<i>Kirov</i>-class battlecruiser Class of Russian guided missile battlecruisers

The Kirov class, Soviet designation Project 1144 Orlan, is a class of nuclear-powered guided missile cruisers of the Soviet Navy and Russian Navy, the largest and heaviest surface combatant warships in operation in the world. Among modern warships, they are second in size only to large aircraft carriers, and of similar size to a World War I-era battleship. The Soviet classification of the ship-type is "heavy nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser". MS <i>Estonia</i> Cruise ferry

MS Estonia was a cruiseferry built in 1980 at the West German shipyard Meyer Werft in Papenburg. In 1993, she was sold to Nordström & Thulin for use on Estline's Tallinn–Stockholm route. The ship's sinking on 28 September 1994, in the Baltic Sea between Sweden, Finland and Estonia, was one of the worst maritime disasters of the 20th century, claiming 852 lives.

HMSGannet is a Royal Navy Doterel-class screw sloop-of-war launched on 31 August 1878. She became a training ship in the Thames in 1903, and was then loaned as a training ship for boys in the Hamble from 1913. She was restored in 1987 and is now part of the UK's National Historic Fleet.
