Sport shooting as a whole is one of the largest and most popular sports in the world.
This is a list of national and international shooting sports organizations who promote sport shooting to civilian sport shooters, hunters, police, military and/or military reservists.
International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF),[17] formerly known as UTI from French: L’Union Internationale des Fédérations et Associations nationals de Tir (UTI), or in English: International Union of National Shooting Federations and Associations.
DGI formed i 1992 with the fusion of The Danish Gymnastics and Youth Associations (De Danske Gymnastik- og Ungdomsforeninger, DDGU) and The Danish Shooting, Gymnastics and Sport Associations (De Danske Skytte-, Gymnastik- og Idrætsforeninger, DDSG&I).
The Danish Shooting Associations (De Danske Skytteforeninger, DDS) had an association agreement with DGI for several years, and was merged with DGI 1. January 2013.

The Swedish Shooting Sport Federation was formed in 2009 with the fusion of The Swedish Sport Shooting Federation (Svenska Sportskytteförbundet, SSF), The Voluntary Shooting Movement (Frivilliga Skytterörelsen, FSR) and The Youth Association of the Shooting Movement (Skytterörelsens Ungdomsorganisation, Skytte UO).
