Dubai Marina, aka Marsa Dubai, is a district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is an artificial canal city built along a 3-kilometre (2 mi) stretch of the Persian Gulf shoreline. As of 2018, it has a population of 55,052. When the entire development is complete, it will accommodate more than 120,000 people in residential towers and villas. It is located on Interchange 5 between Jebel Ali Port and the area which hosts Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City, and the American University in Dubai. The first phase of this project has been completed. Dubai Marina was inspired by the Concord Pacific Place development along False Creek in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
The Dubai Islands, formerly known as the Deira Islands are four artificial islands off the coast of Deira, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The project was initially called Palm Deira and was planned to be part of the Palm Islands. As of 2021, little development has taken place on the islands due to the financial crisis of 2007–2008.
Mohamed Ali Alabbar is an Emirati businessman known for founding Emaar Properties, a real estate development company involved in projects such as the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. He is also the founder and chairman of Eagle Hills, a private investment and real estate development company based in Abu Dhabi.
Nakheel Tower was a planned skyscraper on hold in Dubai, United Arab Emirates by developer Nakheel. The project was previously called Al Burj. While the proposal changed over time, the tower was intended to be the tallest building in the world, surpassing the 828-metre (2,717 ft) Burj Khalifa which was completed in 2010.

Also under construction is Dubailand, which will be almost twice the size of the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Universe was a planned artificial archipelago in the shape of the Milky Way and Solar System, to be built on the coast of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Universe was to be located between the Palm Jumeirah, The World, Jumeirah, and the Palm Deira. The project plan was put on hold indefinitely in 2009, and later removed from developers website.

The Palm Monorail is a monorail line on the Palm Jumeirah island in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is operated by the UK-based Serco. The monorail connects the Palm Jumeirah to the mainland, with a planned further extension to the Red Line of the Dubai Metro. The line opened on April 30, 2009 as the Palm Jumeirah Monorail. It is the first monorail in the Middle East.
Dubai International City is a country-themed collection of residences, businesses, and tourist attractions. Spreading over an area of 800 hectares, the arrangement of the city is inspired by the traditional carpets of the Middle East. Once completed, Dubai International City is divided into multiple phases, each with its own set of residential and commercial clusters. Downtown Dubai or The DubaiDowntown is a large-scale, mixed-use complex in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was developed by the Emaar real estate development company. Before 2000 this place called was Umm Al Tarif It is home to some of the city's most notable landmarks, including Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Mall, and The Dubai Fountain. It covers an area of 2 square kilometres (0.77 sq mi), at an estimated cost of US$20 billion upon completion and, as of 2017, has a population of 13,201.
There are many tourist attractions in Dubai, resulting from the large scale construction boom. Dubai received 14 million tourists from all around the world in 2015. Euromonitor ranked the world's 150 most visited cities by international tourists in 2009; Dubai ranked 7th. Dubai welcomed 14.36M visitors in 2022. Dubai's economy relies on many sections of the "state", one of the most important being tourism, in 2014 total 70,475,636 passengers traveled through Dubai Airport.
There are approximately 400,000 Chinese people in the United Arab Emirates as of 2023, according to the Chinese ambassador. Many Chinese expatriates hail from the Wenzhou region; they are mostly businessmen and merchants who run hundreds of commodity shops through the Emirates. Chinese culture in the Emirates has a sizeable presence; there are many Chinese restaurants in Dubai.
Dragon Mart is a set of two adjacent shopping malls in Dubai International City, a suburb of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dragon Mart is 1.2 kilometre long and is the "largest Chinese retail trading hub outside mainland China". It is includes the largest concentration of Chinese businesses in the UAE.
Emaar Developments is the UAE-based property development arm of Emaar Properties. The company develops residential and commercial property, shopping malls and other retail assets, as well as hospitality and leisure attractions.
