Its success established her status as one of the leading actress in the Malayalam industry during the 2000s. She has acted in over 75 movies. She has won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress twice, for her performances in Perumazhakkalam (2004) and Khaddama (2010).

It includes the Legislative Assembly constituencies of Thiruvananthapuram, Vattiyoorkavu, Nemom, Kazhakkoottam and 5 wards of the Kovalam constituency. The current mayor is Arya Rajendran of the Communist Party of India (Marxist); presently the youngest mayor in the country.

Khaddama (transl. Housemaid) is a 2011 Indian Malayalam-language survival drama film co-written and directed by Kamal. It stars Kavya Madhavan in the title role and was produced by P. V. Pradeep under the banner of Anitha Productions. Cinematography is by Manoj Pillai and the film was edited by K. Rajagopal. The film features songs composed by Bennet Veetraag and the background music is by M. Jayachandran.

<i>Kundali Bhagya</i> Indian drama television series

Kundali Bhagya is an Indian Hindi-language romantic drama television series created by Ekta Kapoor's production company Balaji Telefilms. A spin-off series of Kumkum Bhagya, it premiered on 12 July 2017 on Zee TV. It initially starred Shraddha Arya, Dheeraj Dhoopar and Manit Joura as leads, with Dhoopar being replaced by Shakti Arora in 2022. Shakti Anand later replaced Arora in 2023. In March 2023, the show took a generation leap and currently stars Paras Kalnawat, Sana Sayyad and Baseer Ali as the second-generation leads. However Sayyad got replaced by Adrija Roy in May 2024.

V. K. Prasanth is an Indian politician belonging to the Communist Party of India (Marxist). He was born and raised at Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram. In 2015, aged 34, he was elected to the Kazhakoottam ward of the city, with a margin of 3,272 votes, the highest majority secured by a candidate in the corporation's history. He went on to become the 44th mayor of Thiruvananthapuram, the largest corporation and capital of Kerala.

<i>Anupamaa</i> Indian drama television series

Anupamaa is an Indian Hindi-language television drama series that premiered on 13 July 2020 on Star Plus and streams digitally on Disney+ Hotstar. Produced by Rajan Shahi and Deepa Shahi under the banner of Director's Kut Productions, it is remake of Star Jalsha's Bengali series Sreemoyee. It stars Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Madalsa Sharma and Gaurav Khanna.

Elections to local bodies in Kerala were held in December 2020. Polling took place over 3 days; on 8, 10 and 14 December, with the votes counted and results announced on 16 December.

Arya Rajendran S. is an Indian politician who currently serves as the mayor of the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation. She was elected from Mudavanmugal ward, belonging to Nemom Assembly Constituency from Communist Party of India (Marxist) at the age of 21 and was appointed as the mayor of the corporation which made her the youngest mayor in the country.
