The Running Man is an upcoming dystopian action thriller film produced and directed by Edgar Wright from a screenplay he co-wrote with Michael Bacall, based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Stephen King, marking the second adaptation of the book following the 1987 film. Boy Kills World is a 2023 dystopian action comedy film directed by Moritz Mohr, in his directorial debut, from a screenplay by Tyler Burton Smith and Arend Remmers, based on a story by Arend Remmers and Moritz Mohr. The film stars Bill Skarsgård, Jessica Rothe, Michelle Dockery, Brett Gelman, Isaiah Mustafa, Yayan Ruhian, Andrew Koji, Sharlto Copley, with Famke Janssen and features the voice of H. Jon Benjamin. The plot revolves around a campaign of vengeance enacted by a martial arts expert, rendered deaf-mute by an attack that killed his entire family, whose thoughts are presented as an inner voice derived from a childhood video game.
The Crow is a 2024 superhero film directed by Rupert Sanders from a screenplay by Zach Baylin and William Schneider. A reboot of The Crow film series, it is the fifth film in the franchise, and is the second film, after the 1994 film, to adapt the 1989 comic book series by James O'Barr. A co-production between France, the United States and the United Kingdom, the film stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven / The Crow, a man who is resurrected to avenge the deaths of himself and his girlfriend, played by FKA Twigs.
