Lovekiller is the fifth studio album by Swedish singer and songwriter Darin Zanyar. It was released digitally on 16 August 2010and physically on 18 August in Sweden through Universal Music. The record is Darin's first album since parting with Sony Music after four years with the label and it became his fifth top ten album on the Swedish Album chart. The album includes the song You're Out of My Life, Darin's entry in Melodifestivalen 2010.
In September 2009, Darin signed a new record deal with Universal Music Sweden after 4 years with Sony Music. His first release with Universal was a cover of Coldplay's Viva la Vida which Darin performed live at Idol on October 8the song was released digitally and peaked at number 1 on the Swedish singles chart. On 3 November 2009, it was announced that Darin would be participating in the Melodifestivalen 2010, the Swedish show which determines the country's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Norway. Darin entered with the mid-tempo ballad You're Out of My Life written by Tony Nilsson and Henrik Janson. Darin came eventual 4th at the final on March 13. The song was later released physically, including the cover of Viva la Vida, and peaked at number three on the Swedish Single Chart. On 27 March, Darin performed an acoustic version of the track Only You Can Save Me in Kungsträdgården, Stockholm as part of the Swedish Earth Hour concert. On 1 June 2010 it was announced on the Universal Music Sweden website that Darin soon would release his single "Lovekiller" and his fifth studio album, his first with Universal, on 25 August 2010 and would feature the singles Viva la Vida and You're Out of My Life. Darin began a 17 date Sommarturné (Summer Tour) in Sweden on 4 June 2010, starting in Karlshamn, during which he performed songs from the new album as well as songs from his previous albums. In June 2010, Darin was asked by Swedish broadcaster SVT to record a written song, "Can't Stop Love", for the Royal Wedding of Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling. Darin performed the song on a rooftop in Stockholm during the live broadcast of the wedding on SVT. The song was released digitally on the day of the wedding, 19 June 2010. On 13 July 2010 a press release was published by Universal Music Sweden revealing the name, track listing and cover art for the new album and also that the album would be released earlier than originally planned on 18 August. Also mentioned in the press release is the producers of the album, Tony Nilsson, Arnthor Birgisson, Henrik Jansson and Darin. On 13 July, the studio version of Lovekiller premiered on radio and on the Universal Music website, having only been heard live previously.

Marie Eleonor Serneholt is a Swedish singer and model. She was a member of the Swedish pop band A*Teens from 1998 to 2004, and went on to pursue a solo career after the band dissolved.
Darin Zanyar, known simply as Darin, is a Swedish singer-songwriter born in Stockholm. He is one of Sweden's best-selling artists, with seven number one albums.
Anna Jenny Charlotte Perrelli is a Swedish singer and occasional television host. She was the winner of the 1999 Melodifestivalen and subsequently that year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Take Me to Your Heaven."
Agnes Emilia Carlsson, known mononymously as Agnes, is a Swedish recording artist. She rose to fame as the winner of Idol 2005, the second season of the Swedish Idol series. She was then signed to Sony Music, through which she released her self-titled debut album, Agnes, and follow-up, Stronger, both of which topped the Swedish Top 60 Albums Chart. In early 2008, it was announced that Agnes had parted ways with her record label, and was now signed to small independent label Roxy Recordings. Released on 28 October 2008, her third album, Dance Love Pop, reached number five in Sweden, 70 in Austria, 38 in France, 45 in Switzerland and 13 in the United Kingdom. With 200,000 albums sold worldwide this is her most successful album, 50,000 albums were sold in France, 40,000 in Sweden. Its first two singles, "On and On" and "Release Me" became international hits, reaching the top-ten in charts worldwide. "Release Me" topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs and peaked at three in the United Kingdom, selling over 900,000 copies worldwide.

Ola Nils Håkan Svensson in Lund, Skåne, professionally known simply as Brother Leo, is a Swedish artist and songwriter. Until 2014, he was best known by his mononym Ola. His career began on Swedish Idol in 2005; however since coming 8th, Ola has released four albums. Eleven of his releases have reached Top 5, with 6 making it to number one on the Swedish singles chart, attaining gold and platinum certification. After being signed to Universal Music for many years, Ola founded his own record label Oliniho Records for the Swedish market, keeping distribution arrangements with Sony Music in Europe and internationally. Starting 2018, he records under the stage name of Brother Leo for Columbia Records.
Sarah Dawn Finer is a Swedish singer, songwriter and actress. Her father is of English heritage from the United Kingdom, her Jewish mother is from the United States, and she was born and raised in Sweden. As a student she attended the Adolf Fredrik's Music School, a high-profile song-and-chorus school in Stockholm, where she was also President of the students' union. She is also known for playing Lynda Woodruff, the "official" spokesperson of the EBU in Melodifestivalen and the Eurovision Song Contest, a character created by Edward af Sillén.
E.M.D. was a Swedish boyband consisting of Erik Segerstedt, Mattias Andréasson and Danny Saucedo. All three members had participated on the Swedish version of Idol, with Erik as a finalist and Danny at 6th place on Idol 2006. Mattias was eliminated as the fourth runner-up on Idol 2007.

Melodifestivalen 2010 was a Swedish song contest held between February and March 2010. It was the selection for the 50th song to represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, and was the 49th edition of Melodifestivalen. Five semi-finals were held in the Swedish cities of Örnsköldsvik, Sandviken, Gothenburg and Malmö, with Örebro hosting the final Andra Chansen round.
Eddie Razaz born on 21 December 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden) is an Iranian-Swedish singer. He was a former participant of Swedish Idol 2009 and finished sixth. Eddie Razaz and Rabih Jaber, yet another Idol participant, became a duo pop boy band as REbound! in 2010 with a number of hits on the Swedish charts. After split-up of the band in April 2011, Eddie Razaz is continuing as a solo singer. In November 2012 he was signed to Warner Music Sweden. He has done also modelling and was featured in advertisements.

The song was first performed in Deltävling 3 of Melodifestivalen in Göteborg on February 20, 2010 where Darin reached second place and progressed to the final on March 13 in Stockholm. The single was released on February 28, 2010. This is Darin's first physical single release since his departure from Sony Music.

Many of his songs have featured in Melodifestivalen and in the Swedish Singles Chart. Nilsson lives with artist and fellow songwriter Mirja Breitholtz.

Stjernberg started his career in the boyband What's Up!, and became a contestant in Idol 2011, placing as first runner up in the final. He participated in Eurovision Song Contest 2017 as the songwriter for the song I Can't Go On performed by Robin Bengtsson, which ended up in fifth place.
"We Got the Power" is a song by Swedish singer Loreen. The song was written by Ester Dean and Geoff Earley. It was released in Sweden as a digital download by Warner Music Sweden on May 15, 2013. She performed the song during the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. The song was included as the fourth overall single from the reissue of Loreen's debut studio album Heal.
"Dance You Off" is a 2018 song by Swedish singer Benjamin Ingrosso. The song won Melodifestivalen 2018, and made it to the final from the first semifinal. It was released in February 2018. The song won Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. The song was later included on Ingrosso's debut album, Identification.
