"Mamma Mia" is a song by Swedish singer and songwriter Darin featuring vocals by rapper Prophet of 7Lions. It was released on April 14, 2014 in the Nordic countries in occasion of his 10-year anniversary as an artist. It's Darin's first single with Warner Music Sweden. The song was originally written for Darin's sixth studio album Exit , but it didn't make the final cut.
On March 14, 2014 Darin announced via his Instagram account the release of a new single called Mamma Mia, along with a competition which consisted of sharing a picture on the social network in order to win an exclusive ticket for the premiere of the music video of the song which would take place in a secret venue in Stockholm two days before the single release. A trailer of the music video was also posted on Darin's official YouTube channel the same day. Winners were contacted by Darin himself on April 2 and the event took place in a cinema in Stockholm called Rigoletto on April 12.
A seven track EP called Mamma Mia - Remixes was released on June 18, 2014.
The music video of the single was released on April 21 on Darin's YouTube channel. It was directed by Alex Herron and filmed in Palmdale, California. As stated by the director himself, "the video feels as if it's a love story in the beginning but then it starts to escalate and she's a Mamma Mia, she's the ultimate crazy woman. They rob a bank, she strips for him. It's pretty dirty, it's pretty good". The production of the video costed 500,000 Swedish crowns.

ABBA are a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1983. In 1974, ABBA was Sweden's first winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song "Waterloo", which in 2005 was at chosen as the best song in the competition's history as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the contest.
Björn Kristian Ulvaeus is a Swedish singer-songwriter, producer, a member of the Swedish musical group ABBA, and co-composer of the musicals Chess, Kristina från Duvemåla, and Mamma Mia!. He co-produced the films Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again with fellow ABBA member and close friend Benny Andersson.

Tove Anna Linnéa Östman Styrke is a Swedish singer and songwriter. She gained popularity as a contestant on Swedish Idol 2009, finishing in third place. After the show, she started a solo career in electropop. She released her debut album Tove Styrke in 2010. The New York Post included Styrke in its list of "10 Artists to Know in 2011". In 2015, she released her second album, Kiddo. Three years later, in 2018, she released her third album, Sway. "So Yours" is a song by Swedish singer and songwriter Darin. It was released as a single on 22 February 2013 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and all over Europe on 14 May. This is Darin's third single to get released outside the Scandinavian area, after "Insanity" and "Desire" which were both released as singles, taken from the album Break the News in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2007. "So Yours" was written by Darin and Niklas Bergwall.

In November 2006, it was announced that Zelmerlöw would compete in Melodifestivalen 2007, Sweden's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2007, to be held in Helsinki, Finland. He competed with the song "Cara Mia" in the 3rd semi-final on 17 February 2007 in Örnsköldsvik, and progressed to the final, which was held on 10 March at Globen in Stockholm. There his performance of "Cara Mia" finished in third place behind winners The Ark and runner-up Andreas Johnson. He performed during the 2nd Semi-final on 21 May 2015 for a place in the Final. The song progressed to the Final which took place on 23 May 2015. The song went on to win the contest with 365 points. "Should've Gone Home" was released as the second single from the album. The song peaked at number 27 on the Swedish Singles Chart. "Fire in the Rain" was released as the lead single from the re-issued version of the album titled Perfectly Re:Damaged. The song peaked at number 31 on the Swedish Singles Chart. Chameleon, Zelmerlöw's seventh studio album, was released in December 2016. It peaked at number 6 on the Swedish Albums Chart. "Fire in the Rain" was released as the lead single from the album. "Hanging on to Nothing" was released as the second single from the album on 26 August 2016. The song did not enter the Swedish Singles Chart, but peaked at number 2 on the Sweden Heatseeker Songs. This marks their second collaboration, the first one being the number one single "Ecou". "Mamma Mia" was initially released for digital download and streaming in the United States on 5 August 2014 under Robbins Entertainment, and worldwide the following year in July under Cat Music. An English language track, it was written by Clint Tommy and Laurenţiu Duţă, while the production was being handled by Duţă. Music critics were pleased with the song, complimenting its catchy instrumentals and the comedic turn of the song.
