Luciana Alves dos Santos (born 10 February 1970) is a Brazilian long jumper, triple jumper and sprinter.
She was born in Ilhéus. [1] She competed in the long jump at the World Championships in 1997 and 1999, [2] and in both events at the 2000 Summer Olympics, but without reaching the final. At the 2004 Olympics she competed in the 4 x 100 metre relay. [1]
She has four Brazilian titles; one in the long jump from 1996 and three in the triple jump from 1999, 2000 and 2001. Her main rivals were Maria de Souza and Maurren Higa Maggi. [3] On the regional level, she has eleven medals in the individual events from the South American Championships in 1991, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005. [4]
Her personal best jump is 6.66 metres, achieved in June 2007 in La Paz. [2] This is a former South American record. [5] She has 6.81 metres in the long jump, achieved in June 1999 in Bogotá; and 11.40 seconds metres in the 100 metres, achieved in May 2004 in Cochabamba. [2]
Niurka Montalvo Amaro is a former Cuban and Spanish athlete who specialised in the long jump and triple jump events. Her greatest achievement came in 1999, when she became world champion with a personal best jump of 7.06 metres. She was the autonomous secretary of sport for the Autonomous government of Valencia.
Gyula Pálóczi was a Hungarian athlete who specialized in the long jump and triple jump. He won two medals at the European Indoor Championships, and due to his versatility the European Athletic Association has called him "the most successful jumper Hungary has ever produced".
Ndiss Kaba Badji is a Senegalese athlete who competes in the long jump and triple jump. He is the Senegalese record holder for triple jump, with 17.07 metres achieved when he won the 2008 African Championships. He has a personal best long jump of 8.32 metres, achieved in October 2009 in Beirut, helping him to win the silver medal at the 2009 Jeux de la Francophonie.
Nadezhda Alekhina, née Bazhenova is a Russian triple jumper.
Zdzisław Hoffmann is a retired triple jumper from Poland. He is best known for winning the gold medal at the inaugural 1983 World Championships, for which he was named Polish Sportspersonality of the Year at the end of the year.

Tibor Ordina was a Hungarian athlete who specialized in the long jump and triple jump. Born in Budapest, Ordina stood at 1.92 m tall, and during his active career he weighed 73 kilograms (161 lb).
Keila da Silva Costa is a Brazilian long jumper and triple jumper. She has competed in three Olympic Games, 2004, 2008 and 2012, and has reached the final round both there and in World Championships and World Indoor Championships. She is the South American record holder in triple jump with 14.58 metres, and has 6.88 metres in the long jump. Both results were achieved in 2007.
Fabrizio Donato is an Italian athlete competing in the triple jump and occasionally in the long jump. He is known for winning gold medals at the 2001 Mediterranean Games and the 2009 European Indoor Championships, the latter in a new championship record of 17.59 metres. He is the Italian record holder with 17.60 metres outdoor and 17.73 indoor.
Margrethe Renstrøm is a Norwegian long jumper. She has competed with modest results in international junior and senior championships, most notably the 2009 World Championships. She is best known for her personal best is 6.68 metres, achieved in July 2010 in Barcelona, which is the current Norwegian record. When she broke the record, it was the oldest existing athletics record in Norway. Renstrøm also has 13.25 metres in the triple jump, achieved in July 2006 at Bislett stadion.
