Mafranqah (Persian : مفرنقاه‎, also Romanized as Mafranqāh, Merafneqā, and Mafranqā; also known as Marfanqā)^[1] is a village in Faruj Rural District, in the Central District of Faruj County, North Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 715, in 183 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Faruj Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Faruj County, North Khorasan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 7,488, in 1,947 families. The rural district has 22 villages.
