Margaret "Maggie" Shea (born July 13, 1989) is an American sailor who is a Pan American Games medallist and a two-time medallist in the World Championships.[ citation needed ]
After graduating from Connecticut College, where she led the Camels to a second-place finish in the 2011 ISCA Women's Finals, [1] Shea dedicated herself to professional sports, being one of the founders of the Epic Racing team, in the Match Race category. As a member of the team, she won a bronze medal at the 2014 World Championships. [2]
In 2019, Shea won the silver medal at the Pan American Games, in the 49er FX class. Her partner was her compatriot Stephanie Roble. The team was defeated by the Brazilian Olympic champion duo, Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze, who won nine of the twelve races. Much more balanced was against Argentina's Victoria Travascio and María Sol Branz, which ended with an advantage of one point less lost to the Americans after the Argentines were disqualified from the medal race. In 2020, Shea won her first major result at the international level, the bronze medal in the 49er & 49er FX World Championships of the 49er FX class, in Geelong, Australia. With this result, she and her partner Roble earned the right to represent the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. [5]
Robert Scheidt is a Brazilian sailor who has won two gold medals, two silver medals and a bronze from five Olympic Games and a Star Sailors League Final. He is one of the most successful sailors at Olympic Games and one of the most successful Brazilian Olympic athletes, being one of only two to earn five medals along with fellow sailor Torben Grael, and only behind the six medals of Rebeca Andrade. He is the only Brazilian sailor to win medals in both dinghy and keelboat classes.
Torben Schmidt Grael is one of the most well known Brazilian sailors, renowned in international competitions. A descendant of Danes, he was taken sailing by his grandfather at the age of five years on the sailboat Aileen, of the 6 Metre class, which was the boat used by the silver medal-winning 1912 Summer Olympics Danish sailing team. Once he moved to Niterói, he started sailing with his brother, Lars Grael, also an Olympic medal winner, on the Bay of Guanabara. Another brother, Axel Grael, is the current mayor of Niterói. He is father of Olympic champion Martine Grael and sailor Marco Grael.
Isabel Marques Swan is a Brazilian sailor. She won a bronze medal in 470 class at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
Sailing competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo took place from 25 July to 4 August 2021 at the Enoshima Yacht Harbor in Enoshima. The venue was also used for the 1964 Olympic Games although significantly regenerated, the IOC now encouraging regeneration, cost reductions and sustainability. The RS:X, Laser, Laser Radial, Finn, 470, 49er, 49erFX, and Nacra17 are all returning for 2020; there are no significant changes to the Olympic programme from 2016.
Martine Soffiatti Grael is a Brazilian sailor in the 49er FX class. Together with Kahena Kunze she won the 49er FX class at the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships and at the 2016 Rio Olympics, and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Women 49er FX is a sailing event on the Sailing at the 2020 Summer Olympics program in Tokyo and took place between 27 July – 3 August. The defending champions, Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze from Brazil, won the event. Tina Lutz and Susann Beucke from Germany were the second, and Annemiek Bekkering and Annette Duetz from the Netherlands won the bronze medal. For Lutz, Beucke, Bekkring, and Duetz this was the first Olympic medal.

Tina Lutz is a German sailor who has competed in the Optimist and 49er FX categories. Along with Susann Beucke, she won a gold medal at the 2017 and 2020 49er & 49er FX European Championships., having won a gold medal at the 2005 Optimist World Championship. Beucke and Lutz qualified to represent Germany at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, competing in 49er FX.
The 49erFX competition of the sailing events at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago was held from October 28 to Novembero 3 at the Cofradia Nautica del Pacifico.
