Maifeld Derby is an annual rock festival in Mannheim held at the riding stadium of Mannheim May Market. The festival held for 2 days in 2011 and 2012, and was held for 3 days from 2013. The organiser is Timo Kumpf, well known as the bassist of Get Well Soon. [1]
The first festival was held in 2011, attracting more than 3,000 spectators. [2] The number of spectators exceeded 10,000 in 2014.
In 2016, the festival was named the second best festival in Germany by Intro, [3] and Musikexpress was named the festival with the best lineup in Germany. [4]
In 2020, the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, [5] and in 2021, it was limited to 1,500 spectators. The 2023 Maifeld Derby was held from 16 to 18 June. [6]

Wacken Open Air is a rock music festival, held annually since 1989 on the first weekend of August in the village of Wacken in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Almost all styles and subgenres of hard rock and metal are represented and hosted. It is now one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the world and one of the largest open-air festivals in Germany. Between 2011–2018, the number of attendees was around 85,000, 75,000 of whom were paying visitors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were no 2020 and 2021 editions of Wacken Open Air.
The Notwist are a German indie rock band. Formed in 1989, the band moved through several musical incarnations, despite maintaining a relatively stable line-up. Spaghettieis, or spaghetti ice cream, is a German ice cream dish made to resemble a plate of spaghetti. In the dish, vanilla ice cream is extruded through a modified Spätzle press or potato ricer, giving it the appearance of spaghetti. It is then placed over whipped cream and topped with strawberry sauce and either coconut flakes, grated almonds, or white chocolate shavings to represent the parmesan cheese. Besides the usual dish with strawberry sauce, one may also find variations like ice cream with dark chocolate and nuts, simulating Spaghetti Carbonara instead of Spaghetti Bolognese.
Mannheim Hauptbahnhof is a railway station in Mannheim in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is the second largest traffic hub in southwestern Germany after Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof, with 658 trains a day, including 238 long-distance trains. It is also a key station in the Rhine-Neckar S-Bahn. 100,000 passengers embark, disembark or transfer between trains at the station each day. The station was modernised in 2001. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 2 station.
The May Market is the largest regional consumer exhibition of Germany, which always begins on last Saturday in April and lasts for eleven days. The traditionally last day is therefore called May Market Tuesday. It takes place at the Maimarktgelände in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg.

Farbenspiel Live was a European concert tour by German singer Helene Fischer, in support of her sixth studio album, Farbenspiel. It began on 25 September 2014, in Riesa, Germany at the Erdgas Arena, continued throughout Europe, and finally concluded on 8 July 2015 in Dresden at Glücksgas Stadium. The tour visited arenas and stadiums throughout 2014 and 2015. The concerts in Berlin in July 2015 were recorded for an Official Live DVD which was released on 4 September 2015. The 2015 part of the Tour was ranked as the 38th biggest International Tour of the year with earnings of about $42,000,000. Fischer is also the most successful German Act on the list for the second year in a row.
