Vive Latino - Festival Iberoamericano de Cultura Musical is an annual music festival held in Mexico City. It is one of the most important music festivals in Mexico, featuring a great variety of groups of many genres.
The event takes place in Foro Sol usually in the months of March and April. The duration of the festival has been one to three days, depending on the number of live acts, but since 2010 the festival's length has been 2 or 3 days. The first edition was in 1998, and has been repeated yearly ever since (except for 1999 and 2002).[1] The number of stages has changed over the time, ranging from 2 to 4.
As the festival itself is not limited to rock acts, it has often acts of entirely unrelated music genres. This, however, proved to be disastrous in the 2007 edition, which included a Reggaetón act by Calle 13, that angered a big section of the public, which booed and even threw bottles and objects at the stage forcing the band to leave.[2]

The 5th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were held on Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The Premios MTV Latinoamérica were the Latin American version of the Video Music Awards. They were established in 2002 to celebrate the top music videos of the year in Latin America and the world. They are presented annually and broadcast live on MTV Networks Latin America. Until 2004, all the VMALAs were held in Miami. The 2005 edition was the first one planned to be held outside the United States, but the show was cancelled. The 2006 VMALAs were held in Mexico City, and therefore were the first ones to actually be celebrated in Latin America. In 2010 the awards were permanently cancelled.

Quito Fest is a yearly, free of charge music festival. It takes place in Quito, Ecuador. Ecuadorian and international bands participate in the festival. During the first years, it took place in the Parque La Carolina but since 2005 it takes place in the Parque Itchimbía as the attendance is larger each year. In 2008, 80,000 persons attended the event.

The 21st Annual Premios Gardel ceremony were held on May 14, 2019. The TNT Latin America networks broadcast the show live from the Ángel Bustelo Auditorium in Mendoza. It was the first time that the ceremony was held outside Buenos Aires. The ceremony recognized the best recordings, compositions, and artists of the eligibility year, which ran from January 1, 2016 to January 31, 2016. The nominations were announced on April 16, 2019 at the Néstor Kirchner Cultural Centre in Buenos Aires.
