Malekabad (Persian : ملك آباد‎, also Romanized as Malekābād; also known as Malekābād-e Bālā, Malekābād-e ‘Olyā, Malikābād, and Melkābād-e ‘Olyā)^[1] is a village in Qasemabad Rural District, in the Central District of Rafsanjan County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 663, in 167 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Qasemabad Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Rafsanjan County, Kerman Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 17,430, in 4,255 families. The rural district has 18 villages.
