Marc Bernardin (born November 29, 1971) is an American journalist, public speaker, TV and comic book writer, and podcaster. He has served as film editor for the Los Angeles Times and senior editor for The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly . He has written for GQ , Wired , Details , Vulture, Playboy, and Empire . [1] He has been a staff writer for Castle Rock, Treadstone and Carnival Row , and is currently a supervising producer on Star Trek: Picard . [2]

He was a staff writer for the Syfy series Alphas, Hulu's series Castle Rock , based on the stories of Stephen King, USA Network’s series Treadstone , based on the Jason Bourne franchise, [4] and Amazon Prime’s fantasy series Carnival Row . He has written comic books for Marvel, DC Comics, Image Comics [5] and several independent comic publishers. He is the co-creator of the DC comic book series TheHighwaymen, which is in development as a major motion picture. He co-hosts the Fatman Beyond podcast with filmmaker Kevin Smith, [6] and a second podcast named The Battlestar Galacticast with Tricia Helfer. [7] In 2018, Bernardin won an Inkpot Award, an honor bestowed annually since 1974 by Comic-Con International. [8]
In 2019, Bernardin joined other WGA writers in firing their agents as part of the WGA's stand against the ATA and the practice of packaging. [9]
On August 18, 2019, it was announced that Bernardin would be serving as writer for Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Netflix. [10] Then, on February 21, 2020, Bernardin was announced to be part of the writing team for the upcoming animated series The Legend of Vox Machina , for Amazon Prime Video. [11] On December 19, 2023, Bernardin announced he was part of the writing team for the upcoming animated series Eyes of Wakanda for Disney+. [12]
In 2024, Bernardin partnered Neil Gaiman to adapt the latter's novel Anansi Boys into a multi-volume comic series, with art by Shawn Martinbrough. Published by Dark Horse Comics, the first volume of Anansi Boys will run for eight issues. [13]

Grant Morrison MBE is a Scottish comic book writer, screenwriter, and producer. Their work is known for its nonlinear narratives, humanist philosophy and countercultural leanings. Morrison has written extensively for the American comic book publisher DC Comics, penning lengthy runs on Animal Man, Doom Patrol, JLA, Action Comics, and Green Lantern as well as the graphic novels Arkham Asylum, JLA: Earth 2, and Wonder Woman: Earth One, the meta-series Seven Soldiers and The Multiversity, the mini-series DC One Million and Final Crisis, both of which served as centrepieces for the eponymous company-wide crossover storylines, and the maxi-series All-Star Superman. Morrison's best known DC work is the seven-year Batman storyline which started in the Batman ongoing series and continued through Final Crisis, Batman and Robin, Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne and two volumes of Batman Incorporated. They also co-created the DC character Damian Wayne.

Anansi Boys is a fantasy novel by English writer Neil Gaiman. In the novel, "Mr. Nancy"—an incarnation of the West African trickster god Anansi—dies, leaving twin sons, who in turn discover one another's existence after being separated as young children. The novel follows their adventures as they explore their common heritage. Although it is not a sequel to Gaiman's previous novel American Gods, the character of Mr. Nancy appears in both books.
