The governor of South Carolina is the head of government of South Carolina. The governor is the ex officio commander-in-chief of the National Guard when not called into federal service. The governor's responsibilities include making yearly "State of the State" addresses to the South Carolina General Assembly,submitting an executive budget,and ensuring that state laws are enforced.

Mûkûûrî is an administrative Location and township in Runyenjes Division,in Embu County,Kenya,with a population of about 25,000 people. It is named for a large,strong Sycamore Fig Tree that stood for over 100 years at the current site of the township. The Sycamore Fig tree symbolizes strength,rejuvenation and regeneration. Mûkûû-rîregion lies on the green,rolling hills of the Mount Kenya slopes. The administrative region begins from the stone cliffs of Nthûngûwaterfalls,all the way to Nthenge Njerûfalls,through the famous Kirimiri Forest,stretching to the historic Gogo Salt lick,bordering Gitare. It is home to four public primary schools,including Kubu Kubu Memorial Boarding School and Muragari School,which is among the oldest schools in Embu and Kîrînyaga districts.

The Embu or Aembu are a Bantu people indigenous to Embu county. The region is situated on the southern slopes of the former Eastern province. They belong to the northeastern Bantu branch and speak the Embu language known as Kiembu as a mother tongue. It belongs to the Bantu branch of the Niger-Congo family. Kimeru,Kikuyu,and Kikamba share similar language characteristics. To the west,Embu neighbours are the closely related Kikuyu in Kirinyaga,Nyeri,Kiambu,Muranga and Nyandarua counties. The Meru people border the Embu to the East.

Travel directions by road from Nairobi is through Thika Road past Thika,Kenol and Makuyu. The road leads through Makutano until Sagana town,where a road branches off the East towards Kagio town up to Kirinyaga University branching North towards the town.

Mbuvi Gideon Kioko, popularly known as Mike Sonko or simply Sonko,is a controversial Kenyan politician who served as the second Governor of Nairobi. He was removed from the office of the governor by a form of impeachment by the Senate of the Republic of Kenya on Abuse of Office,Gross Misconduct and Crimes under National Law on 17 December 2020.
Ferdinard Ndungu Waititu,also known as Baba Yao,is a Kenyan politician who served as the second governor of Kiambu County from 2016 to January 2020. He was impeached on corruption charges. His troubles started after it was learnt he was involved in a scheme of grabbing land from a widow worth over one million dollars amongst other fraudulent activities. He is currently awaiting trial for the mismanagement of county fund of over five million dollars. He also served as an assistant minister for Water Services and Irrigation in the government of Kenya.
Peter Njeru Ndwiga is a Kenyan politician. He is the former Senator for Embu County and the chairman of the Agriculture and Livestock Committee of the Senate. He was minister for the Co-operative Development and Marketing in Kenya and a former member of parliament for the Manyatta Constituency and Runyenjes Constituency. He was member of parliament for the Manyatta Constituency which is now in Embu County on Party of National Unity ticket between 2002 and 2007. Prior to this,he was the member of parliament for Runyenjes Constituency between 1992 and 1997 and then the member of parliament for the newly created Manyatta Constituency between 1998 and 2001.
Sub-counties,also known as Districts,are the decentralised units through which government of Kenya provides functions and services. At national level,sub-counties take a more administrative function like security,statistical purposes,provision of government services,etc. Even though the sub-counties are divisions of counties,powers to create new national sub-counties lies with the national government. As of 2023,there are 314 sub-counties,compared to 290 constituencies. A deputy county commissioner is appointed by the state to lead each sub-county. The sub-counties are further divided into divisions,locations and sub-locations.
Local elections were held in Embu to elect a Governor and County Assembly on 4 March 2013. Under the new constitution,which was passed in a 2010 referendum,the 2013 general elections were the first in which Governors and members of the County Assemblies for the newly created counties were elected. They will also be the first general elections run by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission(IEBC) which has released the official list of candidates.

Eric Muchangi Njiru Karemba is a Kenyan politician and a businessman,and currently the Member of Parliament (MNA) for Runyenjes Constituency,serving a second term and also the Chairman of the Labour and Social Affairs committee. Runyenjes is in Embu County in Eastern part of Kenya. Karemba belongs to the United Democratic Alliance party under the Kenya Kwanza alliance led by the current and the fifth president of Kenya Dr William Ruto. He is a graduate of Kenyatta university with a Bachelors of Education and was a student leader at the same university. Karemba made history by becoming the first Akorino MP in the history of Kenya. Karemba currently serves as the Chairman of the Labor and Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly.
