Matthew Peter Dunn (born 5 May 1992) is an English cricketer. Dunn is a left-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium. He was born in Egham,Surrey.
Dunn represented England Under-19s,having made his debut for the team against Bangladesh Under-19s in a Youth One Day International in 2009. [1] Following this he went on to play Youth Test and Youth Twenty20 Internationals. [2] During the 2010 season,he made his first-class debut for Surrey against the touring Bangladeshis. He made three further first-class appearances for Surrey the following season,against Cambridge MCCU,and in the County Championship against Derbyshire and Gloucestershire. [3] In his four first-class appearances to date,he has taken 9 wickets at an average of 26.77,with best figures of 5/56. [4] His maiden five wicket haul came against Derbyshire,in his first County Championship match. [5]
Dunn also made his List A debut in the 2011 season though not for Surrey. It instead came for an England Player Development XI against the touring Sri Lanka A team. [6] He took the wickets of Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Sajeewa Weerakoon for the cost of 32 runs from 6 overs. [7]
Dunn was Surrey's leading first-class wicket-taker in 2014 with 47. He received a call up to the England Lions four day squad in December 2014 for the tour of South Africa. [8] After a decent 2015 two Championship games was all he managed across 2016 and 2017 as injuries hampered his progress. Dunn was part of the Surrey team that won the 2018 County Championship. Dunn showed signs of getting back to his very best when he ran through Somerset with 5 for 43 in a first class match at Guildford in 2019. [9]
Dunn was part of the Surrey team that won the 2022 County Championship. On 30 August 2023 Dunn signed a new contract with Surrey. [10]
Matt Dunn is married to Jessica,and they had a daughter,Florence,who suffered from Dravet syndrome,from which she died in March 2023,aged two. [11]
Mushtaq Ahmed is a Pakistani cricket coach and former cricketer who currently acts as the spin bowling coach for the Bangladesh national cricket team. A leg break googly bowler,at his peak he was described as being one of the best three wrist-spinners in the world. In an international career that spanned from 1990 until 2003,he claimed 185 wickets in Test cricket and 161 in One Day Internationals. He was at his most prolific internationally between 1995 and 1998,but his most successful years were as a domestic player for Sussex in the early 2000s.
Mohamed Farveez Maharoof,or Farveez Maharoof,is a Sri Lankan former professional cricketer,who played Tests and ODIs. He first made his impression in the 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in which he captained the Sri Lankan team. He enjoyed a prolific school career for Wesley College,with a highest score of 243 and best bowling figures of 8 for 20. An all-rounder,he made his Test debut in 2004. He was part of the Sri Lankan team which finished as runners-up at the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Gary Keedy is a retired English cricketer. A slow-left arm spin bowler,he played one match for Yorkshire in 1994,having graduated from their cricket academy,before moving to Lancashire in 1995. He played for the club until 2012 taking over 500 first-class wickets. Although he had played youth internationals,he never played for the senior England team,although he was named in the squad a few times. In 2011 he was part of the Lancashire squad that won the County Championship for the first time since 1950. Keedy subsequently played one season for Surrey and two for Nottinghamshire before retiring as a professional cricketer in 2015. After studying physiotherapy at the University of Salford,he is currently Nottinghamshire's spin bowling coach and assistant physiotherapist.
James Cullum Tredwell is an English former international cricketer. A left-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler,he played his domestic cricket for Kent County Cricket Club and was appointed as County Captain for the 2013 season. He made his debut for Kent in the 2001 season,nine days before his first appearance for England Under-19s. He often fielded at slip. Tredwell was a member of the England team that won the 2010 ICC World Twenty20.

For the 2008–09 Australian season he played for South Caulfield in Melbourne's Victorian Turf Cricket Association competition as that club's visiting professional. In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season. A promising talent in his 34 white-ball appearances for England,Taylor was forced into retirement at just 26 years of age due to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.
Danny Richard Briggs is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club,previously playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club and Sussex County Cricket Club. Briggs is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Newport on the Isle of Wight and was educated on the island at Carisbrooke High School. Briggs is the first international player to be born on the Isle of Wight. Briggs made his debut for Hampshire County Cricket Club aged 18 in 2009,since his debut he has seen success in first-class and Twenty20 cricket. In 2011,he became the youngest English spin bowler to take 100 first-class wickets since Derek Underwood. He made his full international debut for England on 21 February 2012 against Pakistan in the fourth One Day International at the DSC Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
