Megan Degenfelder (born 1988/1989) [1] is an American politician who is the Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction following the 2022 election. She was previously the Manager of Government Affairs for Southland Royalty Company and Cloud Peak Energy. She was Chief Policy Officer of superintendent Jillian Balow. [2] She is a member of the Republican Party. [2]

The Wyoming Republican Party is the affiliate of the Republican Party in Wyoming. It is currently the dominant party in the state,and is one of the strongest affiliates of the national Republican Party. The party currently controls Wyoming's at-large U.S. House seat,both U.S. Senate seats,the governorship,and has nearly unanimous positions in both houses of the state legislature.
The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) is the state education agency of Wyoming. It was headquartered on the second floor of the Hathaway Building in Cheyenne. In Spring 2018,WDE moved to the 2nd Floor of the Herschler Building. The agency has offices in Laramie and Riverton.
Cheri E. Steinmetz is an American politician and a Republican member of the Wyoming Senate representing District 3 since January 7,2019. She previously served in the Wyoming House of Representatives representing District 5 from 2015 to 2019.
