Frankfurt am Main is the most populous city in the German state of Hesse. Its 773,068 inhabitants as of 2022 make it the fifth-most populous city in Germany. Located in the foreland of the Taunus on its namesake Main, it forms a continuous conurbation with Offenbach am Main; its urban area has a population of over 2.7 million. The city is the heart of the larger Rhine-Main metropolitan region, which has a population of more than 5.8 million and is Germany's second-largest metropolitan region after the Rhine-Ruhr region and the fourth biggest metropolitan region by GDP in the European Union. Frankfurt is home to the European Central Bank, one of the institutional seats of the European Union, while Frankfurt's central business district lies about 90 km (56 mi) northwest of the geographic center of the EU at Gadheim in Lower Franconia. Like France and Franconia, the city is named after the Franks. Frankfurt is the largest city in the Rhenish Franconian dialect area.

The Frankfurt Book Fair is the world's largest trade fair for books, based on the number of publishing companies represented. The five-day annual event in mid-October is held at the Frankfurt Trade Fair grounds in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The first three days are restricted exclusively to professional visitors; the general public attend the fair on the weekend.
The Messeturm, or Trade Fair Tower, is a 63-storey, 257 m (843 ft) skyscraper in the Westend-Süd district of Frankfurt, Germany. It is the second tallest building in Frankfurt, the second tallest building in Germany and the third tallest building in the European Union. It was the tallest building in Europe from its completion in 1990 until 1997 when it was surpassed by the Commerzbank Tower, which is also located in Frankfurt.
Westend-Nord and Westend-Süd are two city districts of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The division into a northern and a southern part is mostly for administrative purposes as the Westend is generally considered an entity. Both city districts are part of the Ortsbezirk Innenstadt II.

The Cologne–Frankfurt high-speed rail line is a 180-kilometre-long (110 mi) high-speed line in Germany, connecting the cities of Cologne and Frankfurt. Its route follows the Bundesautobahn 3 for the greater part, and currently the travel time is about 62 minutes. The line's grades of up to four percent require trains with a high power-to-weight ratio which is currently only met by third-generation and fourth-generation Intercity-Express trains, with the latter operating at reduced speeds. It was constructed between 1995 and 2002 at a total cost of six billion Euro according to Deutsche Bahn.
Köln Messe/Deutz station is an important railway junction for long-distance rail and local services in the Deutz neighborhood of Cologne in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is situated close to the eastern bank of the Rhine and connected via the Hohenzollern Bridge to Köln Hauptbahnhof, the city's main station, which is just a few hundred metres away. The Cologne Trade Fair grounds are directly north of the station, hence the Messe in the station's name. The Deutz/Messe station of the Cologne Stadtbahn is nearby and connected to this station by a pedestrian tunnel.
The Millennium Tower is a planned skyscraper whose construction will start in 2025. When completed in 2030, it will be the European Union's second tallest building and Germany's tallest building. It will contain Germany's tallest observation deck with a panoramic view over Frankfurt. The tower will have a height of 288 m (945 ft) and 67 stories. The architect of the tower is Ferdinand Heide and the client is CA Immo.
The Deutsche Bank Twin Towers, also known as Deutsche Bank Headquarters, is a twin tower skyscraper complex in the Westend-Süd district of Frankfurt, Germany. Both towers rise to 155 m (509 ft) and serve as headquarters for Deutsche Bank, the largest bank in Germany.
The B Line is the second line in the network of the Frankfurt U-Bahn, running in a west–east direction from the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) through the old town to Konstablerwache, where it splits into two branches to Bornheim and Preungesheim. Originally planned as an independent main line, part of the D Line forms an extension of U4 to Bockenheimer Warte from the central railway station.

Although technically a part of Mission Germany and reporting through the Embassy of the United States in Berlin, the Frankfurt Consulate General operates with a significant degree of autonomy compared to other U.S. Consulates. This is partly due to several large U.S. government regional centers housed within the Consulate, which provide support in security, construction, and financial matters to several other U.S Diplomatic posts located throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
Japan Center is a high-rise building in the Innenstadt district of Frankfurt, Germany. The 115-meter-high office tower with 27 floors was completed in 1996.
AfE-Turm was a 38-storey, 116 m (381 ft) skyscraper in the Westend district of Frankfurt, Germany. It was the tallest building in Frankfurt from 1972-1974.
The Europaviertel is a housing and business quarter development in the Gallus district of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is built on the former ground of the main goods station Hauptgüterbahnhof. Development work began in 2005, and the first building was opened in 2006. Upon its completion, the area will have offices, hotels, apartments, a school and social infrastructure, parks, and shopping and leisure facilities. The completion of a connection to Frankfurt's U-Bahn is planned for after 2025. Europaviertel will approximately have a population of 30,000 workers and 8,000 to 10,000 residents; This ratio could still shift in favor of the number of residents due to the increased demand for apartments since around 2012. The Skyline Plaza complex, including a shopping mall and congress center, is within the district.

ONE also known as Skyline Plaza 1 is a mixed-use skyscraper in the Gallus district of Frankfurt, Germany. Built between 2017 and 2022, the tower stands at 190.9 m (626 ft) tall with 49 floors and is the current 7th tallest building in Frankfurt and Germany. It is also part of the Skyline Plaza project.
