Kharijites Muslim sect

The Kharijites, also called the ash-Shurah, were a sect that appeared in the first century of Islam during the First Fitna, the crisis of leadership after the death of Muhammad. It broke into revolt against the authority of the Caliph Ali after he agreed to arbitration with his rival, Muawiyah I, to decide the succession to the Caliphate following the Battle of Siffin (657) and was takfired by the Kharijites. For hundreds of years thereafter, the Khawarij were a source of insurrection against the Caliphate.

The Egg Bowl is the name given to the Mississippi State–Ole Miss football rivalry. It is an American college football rivalry game played annually between Southeastern Conference members Mississippi State University and Ole Miss. The rivalry is the tenth longest uninterrupted series in the United States. The two teams first played each other in 1901. Since 1927 the winning squad has been awarded possession of the "Golden Egg Trophy." In cases where the game ended in a tie the previous winner retained possession of the trophy. Ole Miss leads the series 63–46–6 through the 2020 season.

Rebel Wilson Australian actress, comedian, writer and producer

Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson is an Australian actress, comedian, writer, and producer. After graduating from the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2003, she began appearing as Toula in the SBS comedy series Pizza and later appeared in the sketch comedy series The Wedge (2006–2007). Wilson wrote, produced and starred in the musical comedy series Bogan Pride (2008). In 2009, she won the Tropfest best actress award for her role in the short film Bargain, and made a guest appearance in the drama series City Homicide. Shortly after moving to the United States, Wilson appeared in the films Bridesmaids and A Few Best Men, both in 2011.

The Ole Miss Rebels football program represents the University of Mississippi, also known as "Ole Miss.” The Rebels compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Al-Shaykh Maskin, also spelled Sheikh Maskīn, Sheikh Miskeen or Eshmeskīn, is a town in southern Syria, administratively part of the Daraa Governorate, located north of Daraa. Nearby localities include Ibta' and Da'el to the south, Khirbet al-Ghazaleh the southeast, Izra' to the northeast, Nawa to the northwest and Al-Shaykh Saad to the west. Rebellion of the Alpujarras (1499–1501) Series of uprisings in southern Iberia

The Rebellion of the Alpujarras (1499–1501) was a series of uprisings by the Muslim population of the Kingdom of Granada, Crown of Castile against their Catholic rulers. They began in 1499 in the city of Granada in response to mass forced conversions of the Muslim population to the Catholic faith, which were perceived as violations of the 1491 Treaty of Granada. The uprising in the city quickly died down, but it was followed by more serious revolts in the nearby mountainous area of the Alpujarras. The Catholic forces, on some occasions led personally by King Ferdinand, succeeded in suppressing the revolts and inflicted severe punishment on the Muslim population.

The 1901 Ole Miss Rebels football team was an American football team that represented the University of Mississippi as a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association (SIAA) during the 1901 SIAA football season. In its first season under head coaches William Shibley and Daniel S. Martin, Ole Miss compiled a 2–4 record and was outscored by a total of 129 to 34. A seventh game with Christian Brothers was canceled. Right end F. W. Elmer was the team captain.
