Mexico competed at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, United States, from 15 to 24 July 2022. The Federation of Mexican Athletics Associations entered 25 athletes. [1] [2] [3]
For the second time in a row, Mexico ended its participation in the World Athletics Championships without winning a medal. Mexico was ranked 67th place in the overall placing table with two points, thanks to Alegna González's seventh place in the women's 20 kilometres race walk. [4]

Eva Ngui Nchama is a Paralympian athlete competing mainly in category T12 sprint events. Born in Equatorial Guinea, she represents Spain internationally. She has competed at three Paralympic Games, 2004 Summer Paralympics, 2008 Summer Paralympics and 2012 Summer Paralympics, and earned a pair bronze medals, both coming at the 2008 Games.
José María Pámpano Cillero is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in T36 middle-distance events. He won a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Paralympics.

José Martínez Morote is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in category T20 track and field events. He has an intellectual disability, attended school in Cruz de Mayo and serves as a mentor to local track and field athletes. While he originally started sport playing football, he switched to athletics by the age of 16 at the suggestion of a teacher who noticed his speed with the ball. He has gone on to compete at the 2007 World Games, the 2011 IPC World Athletics Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand and the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Martínez has held at least two athletics scholarships to continue his participation in the sport.
Dionibel Rodríguez Rodríguez is a track and field athlete from Spain, who competes under the T20 classification due to an intellectual disability. He represents several athletic teams and is supported by the Carmen Pardo Valcarce Foundation. He has competed at the INAS World Games, INAS World Athletics Championships and the INAS World Indoor Athletics Championships.

Gabriela Kimberly García León is a female racewalker from Peru. She won gold medals in the 20 kilometres walk and 35 km walk at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, becoming the first ever Peruvian world medallist and the first Latin American to earn two titles at the same World Athletics Championships. García is the South American record holder for the longer event.
Marileidy Paulino is a Dominican athlete sprinter specializing in the 400 meters. She won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first woman from the Dominican Republic to earn an individual Olympic medal in athletics. At the subsequent Summer Olympics in Paris, she won the gold medal in the 400 metres event, becoming only the third person from the Dominican Republic to win an Olympic gold medal. Paulino also took silver at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. At these competitions, she also earned silver and gold in the mixed 4×400 m relay respectively, running legs of 48.7 s in 2021 and 48.47 s in 2022. Since May 2023, Paulino is the 400 m ranked world No. 1.
Alegna Aryday González Muñoz is a Mexican racewalking athlete who competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk at the 2020 Summer Olympics and obtained 5th place. She has been designated by the press at the "Mexican racewalking princess" for her success at a young age.
