Colombia competed at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, United States, from 15 to 24 July 2022. The Colombian Athletics Federation had initially entered 14 athletes, [1] but ended up competing with 7 of them due to the withdrawals of 7 athletes.
Without having won any medal, Colombia ranked 73rd place in the overall placing table with one point, achieved thanks to Éider Arévalo's eighth place in the men's 35 kilometres race walk. It was the first time since Berlin 2009 that Colombia did not win a medal. [2]
Originally, Colombia entered 14 athletes qualified for the World Athletics Championships; [1] however, the Colombian team was eventually reduced to 7 athletes after the withdrawals of the team for men's 4 × 400 metres relay event (conformed by Gustavo Barrios, Raúl Mena, Jhon Perlaza, Jelssin Robledo, Nicolás Salinas and Jhon Solis) and the javelin thrower Flor Ruiz, all of whom were unable to obtain a visa to enter the United States (except for Raúl Mena). Other notable absences for Colombia (due to injuries) included the sprinter Anthony Zambrano and the racewalker Sandra Arenas, both silver medalists at Tokyo 2020. [5]

Abderrahman Ait Khamouch Badaui is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in category T46 middle distance and marathon events. Originally from Morocco, he emigrated to Spain and gained citizenship in August 2008. He has represented Spain at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Paralympics, winning silver in the 1,500 meters and bronze in the 800 meters in 2008, and silver in the marathon in 2012.
Eva Ngui Nchama is a Paralympian athlete from Spain competing mainly in category T12 sprint events. She has competed at three Paralympic Games, 2004 Summer Paralympics, 2008 Summer Paralympics and 2012 Summer Paralympics, and earned a pair bronze medals, both coming at the 2008 Games
José María Pámpano Cillero is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in T36 middle-distance events. He won a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Paralympics.

Gerard Descarrega Puigdevall is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in category T11. He has a visual impairment, and has represented Spain at the 2012 Summer Paralympics.
Sara Martínez Puntero is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in category F12 track and field events.
José Martínez Morote is a Paralympic athlete from Spain competing mainly in category T20 track and field events. He has an intellectual disability, attended school in Cruz de Mayo and serves as a mentor to local track and field athletes. While he originally started sport playing football, he switched to athletics by the age of 16 at the suggestion of a teacher who noticed his speed with the ball. He has gone on to compete at the 2007 World Games, the 2011 IPC World Athletics Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand and the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Martínez has held at least two athletics scholarships to continue his participation in the sport.
Maximiliano Óscar Rodríguez Magi is a Spanish athlete who competes in sprinting races. He represented Spain at the 2008 Summer Paralympics and the 2012 Summer Paralympics but did not medal at either event. He has medalled in national competitions, where he represents Galicia.
Dionibel Rodríguez Rodríguez is a track and field athlete from Spain, who competes under the T20 classification due to an intellectual disability. He represents several athletic teams and is supported by the Carmen Pardo Valcarce Foundation. He has competed at the INAS World Games, INAS World Athletics Championships and the INAS World Indoor Athletics Championships.
Gabriela Kimberly García León is a female racewalker from Peru. She won gold medals in the 20 kilometres walk and 35 km walk at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, becoming the first ever Peruvian world medallist and the first Latin American to earn two titles at the same World Athletics Championships. García is the South American record holder for the longer event.

Marileidy Paulino is a Dominican athlete sprinter specializing in the 400 meters. She won the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first woman from the Dominican Republic to earn an individual Olympic medal in athletics. Paulino took silver at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. At these competitions, she earned also silver and gold in the mixed 4×400 m relay respectively, running legs of 48.7 s in 2021 and 48.47 s in 2022. Since May 2023, Paulino is the 400 m ranked world No. 1.
Alegna Aryday González Muñoz is a Mexican racewalking athlete who competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk at the 2020 Summer Olympics and obtained 5th place. She has been designated by the press at the "Mexican racewalking princess" for her success at a young age.
