Michael Graydon Vandort (born 19 January 1980) is a Sri Lankan former cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He made his Twenty20 debut on 17 August 2004,for Colombo Cricket Club in the 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament. [1] He is of Dutch Burgher ancestry and was educated at St. Joseph's College. [2]
Vandort made his Test debut for Sri Lanka in March 2001 against England. Having emerged in 2001 after impressive club performances,he was picked against Bangladesh in September 2001 after an impressive century. His Test average was 36.90. He scored a century in Sri Lanka's defeat to England on 28 May 2006. He nearly became the first batsman since Javed Omar in 2001 to carry the bat through the whole innings. In his one-day international debut against Australia he scored a Test-like 48 off 117 balls in a run-chase of 318,and did not play an ODI for the remainder of his career. However,he was selected to play in the tests against Australia and scored a gritty 83 against Australia in the first test in Brisbane. He is considered a good slips fielder but less effective in the outfield. Vandort had a few notable performances,including scoring a double century (140 and 105*) against Bangladesh in 2007.
He was dropped from the Sri Lankan Test team following a string of poor performances,especially against India in 2008–09.
Tillakaratne Mudiyanselage Dilshan,commonly known as TM Dilshan is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and former captain of the Sri Lanka national cricket team. He is often regarded as the best rated Sri Lankan player in run-chases in ODI history and one of the most innovative players of all time. He was the top run scorer in the 2011 Cricket World Cup with 500 runs,and scored a century against England in the quarter-final. Dilshan is considered to be a rare example of a cricketer with notable skills in all aspects of the game,who can bat,bowl,field and keep wicket. He is an aggressive right-hand batsman who invented the scoop,which has come to be known as the Dilscoop,a shot that hits the ball over the keeper. Apart from being an opening batsman,he is also a capable off-break bowler. Energetic in the field,he usually fielded at the point region. He was part of the Sri Lankan team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Deshabandu Umagiliya Durage Upul Chandana,popularly known as Upul Chandana,is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played both Tests and ODIs. He was more specifically a leg spin bowler and was also an outstanding fielder. He was a part of the Sri Lankan squad which won the 1996 Cricket World Cup,however he did not play any matches during the tournament. Chandana is considered to be one of the best leg spinners who ever played for Sri Lanka. He was also a competent lower-order batsman,having scored a total of seven half-centuries at international level.
Mohamed Farveez Maharoof,or Farveez Maharoof,is a Sri Lankan former professional cricketer,who played Tests and ODIs. He first made his impression in the 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in which he captained the Sri Lankan team. He enjoyed a prolific school career for Wesley College,with a highest score of 243 and best bowling figures of 8 for 20. An all-rounder,he made his Test debut in 2004. He was part of the Sri Lankan team which finished as runners-up at the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

In 2019,he became only the second batsman after Arthur Fagg to score double centuries in both innings of any first class match. Perera retired from international cricket in January 2022,having last playing for the national team in 2019.
Kariyawasam Indipalage Charith Asalanka is a Sri Lankan professional cricketer who currently serves as the captain of the national team in white-ball formats of T20I and ODI. He plays the limited overs formats of the game for the national team and is the 14th T20I captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team. An aggressive left-handed batsman and trusted batter in the number five middle order batting position,who bowls part time handy off spin. Sri Lanka youth cap and Royal College left-handed opening batsman Kamil made the highest individual score of the school cricket season 2019 when he thumped a career best 250 off 270 balls against Ananda College in their Singer Trophy Under 19 match played during the year 2019.
