Mike Murphy (born September 25, 1944) is an American football coach who held a variety of defensive coaching positions at the college and professional levels of the sport over a period of four decades, starting in 1970.

Murphy was the defensive line coach for the University of Vermont from 1970 to 1973 and Idaho State University from 1974 to 1975. He became the defensive coordinator for Idaho State in 1976. He was the linebackers coach at Western Illinois from 1977 to 1978 before becoming the defensive coordinator for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League from 1979 to 1983. In 1984, he was the defensive line coach for the Chicago Blitz of the United States Football League.

Murphy coached the linebackers for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League from 1985 to 1989. He was the inside linebackers coach for the Phoenix Cardinals from 1990 to 1993. He was a pro personnel executive for the Carolina Panthers in 1994. He was a LB coach for the Seattle Seahawks from 1995 to 1997.

Murphy joined the Indianapolis Colts in 1998 as the team's linebackers coach. He held the position until 2011, during which he was given the role of defensive coordinator following Larry Coyer's firing. [1] He retired following the 2011 season.

He played college football at the University of Michigan from 1980 to 1982 and served as an assistant football coach at Michigan from 1985 to 2005, including nine years as defensive coordinator from 1997 to 2005. After the 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team won the national championship, Herrmann received the Frank Broyles Award as the top assistant coach in the nation. He also served as the New York Jets' linebackers coach from 2006 to 2008.

Nick Holt

Nicholas Holt V is a college football coach. Prior to taking the defensive coordinator position at Western Kentucky in 2013, he was the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach of the Washington Huskies for three seasons. Previously, Holt was the defensive coordinator and defensive line coach of the USC Trojans, and the head coach of the Idaho Vandals from 2004 to 2005.

Steve Spagnuolo American football coach

Stephen Christopher Spagnuolo is an American football coach who is the defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). Spagnuolo has won two Super Bowls as defensive coordinator, one with the New York Giants and one with the Kansas City Chiefs. Spagnuolo is the only offensive or defensive coordinator in NFL history to win a Super Bowl with two different franchises.

Ted Monachino is an American football coach who is the outside linebackers coach for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as a senior defensive assistant and outside linebackers coach for the Chicago Bears from 2019 to 2020. Monachino also coached for Missouri in 2018 and served as the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts from 2016 to 2017. He was also formerly the linebackers coach for the Baltimore Ravens from 2010 to 2015. He was part of the Ravens' coaching staff that won Super Bowl XLVII.

Greg Manusky American football coach (born 1966)

Gregory Manusky is an American football coach who is a defensive quality control assistant for the Kentucky Wildcats. Manusky also played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for three teams over twelve seasons. Manusky played college football at Colgate University and high school football at Dallas High School.

Steven Craig Morrison is a retired professional American football linebacker who played for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 1998. He is currently the associate head coach/linebackers coach at Bowling Green Falcons football. He previously served as the linebackers coach for the Eastern Michigan Eagles football team, on the coaching staff at Western Michigan, and as the linebackers coach at Syracuse Orange football. Prior to these professional experiences, he had excelled in college football as an All-Big Ten Conference inside linebacker from 1990 to 1994 for the Michigan Wolverines, whom he served as captain. Chuck Pagano American football coach

Charles David Pagano is a former American football coach and former player. Pagano spent five seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as head coach of the Indianapolis Colts from 2012–2017. He also served as the defensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens in 2011, and as defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears from 2019–2020. Pagano has also served as an assistant coach for the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns. He is the older brother of John Pagano. After the Colts fired him following the 2017 season, Pagano took a year off from coaching, working as a consultant for the NFL.
