Mikhaela Janna Jimenea Lim (born November 8, 2003), known professionally as Mikha, is a Filipino singer, rapper, actress, and dancer under Star Music. She is one of the main rappers of the Filipino girl group Bini. [1]

Early life and education

Mikhaela Janna Jimenea Lim was born on November 8, 2003 [2] in Cebu City, Philippines. She has two older siblings. Her family initially lived in Cebu before moving to Santa Rosa, Laguna. They later relocated to Silang, Cavite, where they resided for eight years before moving to San Juan, Metro Manila. [3]

Mikha began singing in her childhood, inspired by her father. During high school, she was a cheerleader and a member of her school's cheerleading squad, which helped her learn how to dance and develop flexibility. [4] She also played volleyball as a setter on her high school team. [5] She is a supporter of the Akari Chargers. [6]

Career

In 2018, Mikha auditioned for Star Hunt Academy (SHA) in Laguna [7] and was selected as a trainee in early 2019. [8] On October 10, 2020, Mikha was one of the last eight trainees to graduate and was officially announced as a member of an idol group. [9]

In November 2020, Mikha officially became a member of the Filipino girl group Bini, which officially debuted on June 11, 2021. [10]

Star Magic All-Star Games

Mikha participated in the Star Magic All-Star Games volleyball competitions in 2023 and 2024, both held at the Araneta Coliseum. In 2023, she played as a setter for the Lady Setters team, which she finished as the 1st runner-up and was recognized as part of the Mythical Six selection, receiving the Best Setter award. [11] She received the award again in 2024 and mentioned Jia De Guzman's talent as a setter as her motivation for playing volleyball. [12]

Mikha was a supporting cast member in the 2021-2022 ABS-CBN teen romantic comedy series He's Into Her , where she played the role of Elle Luna in its second season, replacing Melizza Jimenez. [13] [14]

In January 2024, Mikha appeared along with Bini members Aiah and Stacey as guest judges on the second season of Drag Den , a drag reality show hosted by Manila Luzon. [15]
