The Ministry of Higher Education is a department of the Namibian government. It was established in 1995 under the name Ministry of Higher Education and Vocational Education as a split-off from the Ministry of Education (MOE) and existed in this form until 2005 when its portfolio fell back to the MOE. In 2015 it was reestablished as Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation (MHETI).

Namibia University of Science and Technology

The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), formerly known as Polytechnic of Namibia, is a public university located in the city of Windhoek, Namibia. Andrew Niikondo is its acting vice-chancellor. NUST was headed by the founding vice-chancellor Tjama Tjivikua until March 2019. After two acting appointments, Erold Naomab was appointed vice-chancellor in January 2021. The largely ceremonial role of chancellor of the university is held by Peter Katjavivi.

A provision of education began after the establishment of the federation of United Arab Emirates with the inception of an university in Al Ain, the United Arab Emirates University. Approximately 25% of total federal government spending was devoted to education. The overall literacy rate is 90%.

Ministry of Higher Education (Malaysia)

The Ministry of Higher Education, abbreviated MOHE, is ministry of the Government of Malaysia that is responsible for higher education, polytechnic, community college, student loan, accreditation, student volunteer. Its main office is in Putrajaya. The ministry was formed on 27 March 2004, merged back into the Ministry of Education on 14 May 2013, but then reformed on 28 July 2015. After the 2018 general election, the ministry became a higher education division under the MOE. In the Muhyiddin cabinet, the higher education division was separated again from Ministry of Education to form as ministry since 10 March 2020.

Education in Namibia is compulsory for 10 years between the ages of 6 and 16. There are approximately 1900 schools in Namibia of which 100 are privately owned. Namibian subjects' syllabi are based on the International General Certificate of Secondary Education which is part of Cambridge International. The Constitution directs the government to provide free primary education; however, families must pay fees for uniforms, stationery, books, hostels, and school improvements. Among sub-Saharan African countries, Namibia has one of the highest literacy rates.

The ministry once transferred its duty organised higher education affairs at the first presidency of Joko Widodo's Working Cabinet, when higher education affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Indonesia) Indonesian ministry

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology is a government ministry of the Indonesian government responsible for education, cultural, research and technology affairs. Its formation resulted from the merger of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Research and Technology in April 2021, under the government of President Joko Widodo.

The Ministry of Education (MOE) is a department of the Namibian government. It was established at Namibian independence in 1990, the first Namibian education minister was Nahas Angula. Between 1995 and 2005, and since 2015, its responsibility is only primary and secondary education, while vocational and university education fall under the Ministry of Higher Education, Training and Innovation. The current education minister is Anna Nghipondoka.
