The First establishment of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs in the State of Qatar was in 1972, under Decree by Law No. (24), which has defined the responsibilities of the Ministry and its affiliate Departments. Thereafter, these responsibilities had been amended in 1990, following the cancellation of the Ministry of Industry and Agriculture, and the addition of the agricultural affairs to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs, thence renamed the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture (at a time). Later on, these responsibilities were subsequently modified following the merger of the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture under the Decree by Law No. (20) of 1993, on the organization of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and defining its responsibilities. The Public Works responsibilities has also been added to the responsibilities of this Ministry. In 2004, Law No. (1) on the establishment of the Public Works Authority, followed by the Law No. 15 of 2004 on the establishment of the Urban Planning & Development Authority, and thus the responsibilities of the Ministry has been limited to the municipal and agricultural affairs. The Ministry had been re-organized and its responsibilities defined under the Law No. (23) of 2005. On Mai 5, 2009, the Emiri Decision No. (16) of 2009, on the specification of the functions of the Ministries, including the authorities of the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, has been issued. On January 27, 2016, the Emiri Decision No. (5) of 2016, on the Organization Chart for the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, has been issued. On October 19, 2021, Emiri Resolution No. (57) for the year 2021 was issued separating the environment from the Ministry of Municipality and assigning the functions of the Ministry of Municipality. The Ministry of Municipality is responsible for everything related to municipal affairs:
In the sectors of agriculture and fisheries affairs, the ministry is concerned with achieving several goals, foremost of which is the development of agricultural, water, animal and fish wealth in a way that achieves sustainable development, and proposing and implementing policies necessary to achieve food security and overseeing strategic food stocks. The ministry is working to generalize the provision of electronic services to the public as part of its efforts to abolish paper transactions within the state's e-government. [3] [4]
The political system of Qatar runs under an authoritarian semi-constitutional monarchy with the emir as head of state and chief executive, and the prime minister as the head of government. Under the Constitution of Qatar, the partially elected Consultative Assembly has limited scope for rejecting legislation or dismissing ministers. The second general election was held in 2021. Political parties are banned and all candidates must run as independents.
Foreign relations of Qatar is conducted through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Arab states were among the first to recognize Qatar, and the country gained admittance to the United Nations and the Arab League after achieving independence in 1971. The country was an early member of OPEC and a founding member of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Diplomatic missions to Qatar are based in its capital, Doha.
Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight municipalities. In 2004, a new municipality, Al Daayen, was created under Resolution No. 13, formed from parts of Umm Salal and Al Khawr; at the same time, Al Ghuwariyah was merged with Al Khawr; Al Jumaliyah was merged with Ar Rayyan; Jarayan al Batnah was split between Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah; and Mesaieed was merged with Al Wakrah. In 2014, the western city of Al-Shahaniya split off from Al Rayyan Municipality to form its own municipality.
Umm Salal is a municipality in the State of Qatar.
Al Shahaniya is a municipality (3299 km2) in Qatar, with its municipal seat being a city of the same name (39 km2). Formerly in the municipality of Al Rayyan, but now an independent municipality, the municipal seat was delimited in 1988 by Law No. 22. In 2014, the cabinet ratified a draft amending provisions to the 1988 law that formalized Al Shahaniya as Qatar's eighth municipality.

Old Airport is an area of Doha, Qatar. The district is located close to the site of Doha's old international airport servicing Qatar before the construction of the Hamad International Airport. Running through the district is Al Matar Al Qadeem Street, around which many businesses and retailers cater to the residents of the area. Rawdat Al Khail is a Qatari district in the municipality of Doha. It lies just outside the boundary of downtown Doha to the east. As part of the district's master plan, major mixed use developments are being carried along the arterial roads of C Ring Road and Salwa Road.
Madinat ash Shamal is the capital city of the municipality of Al Shamal in Qatar. Located more than 100 kilometres (62 mi) north of Qatar's capital Doha, the city was delimited in 1988 and shares its boundaries with Ar Ru'ays to the east and Abu Dhalouf to the west.
The Ministry of Culture is the ministry responsible for administering Qatar's cultural policies and programs. Its responsibilities include organizing cultural events, promoting cultural cooperation, publishing local literature and raising awareness of Qatar's culture. As of 2016, the ministry also presides over sport and youth club affairs. The current minister is Abdulrahman bin Hamad bin Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Foodborne illnesses are a result of eating contaminated food with different types of pathogens.
The Ministry of Sports and Youth is one of the ministries of the Qatari government and is located in Doha. It has 456 affiliated companies, and more than 600 employees. It cooperates with many committees and facilities. The Ministry of Youth and Sports was established by an Emiri Decree No. 16 of 2014 to promote youth and develop their skills, help them to perform their duties and raise the level of sports in the country. In 2016, the Ministry of Sports and Youth was merged with the Ministry of Culture, and in 2021 an Emiri decree was issued separating the Ministry of Culture from the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The ministry is currently held by Hamad Bin Khalifa Bin Ahmed Al-Thani.
The Ministry o Public Health of Qatar sets the national strategy for health care in the country and also provides Qatari citizens with free national health insurance. The current minister is Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari.
