Miss Philippines Earth 2020 was the 20th edition of the Miss Philippines Earth pageant. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, the pageant was held virtually on 26 July 2020. [1] [2]

Contents

At the end of the event, Janelle Tee crowned Roxanne Baeyens of Baguio as Miss Philippines Earth 2020. Also crowned were the court of elemental queens: Patrixia Santos was named Miss Philippines Air, Gianna Llanes was named Miss Philippines Water, Shane Tormes was named Miss Philippines Fire, and Ilyssa Mendoza was named Miss Philippines Eco Tourism 2020. [3]

The pageant was originally to be broadcast by ABS-CBN, but due to the ABS-CBN franchise renewal controversy, the pageant was moved to GMA Network.[ citation needed ]

Miss Global is an international beauty pageant established in 2013. The Miss Global pageant is one of the international pageants that accept single mothers, as a result, it is the only pageant with the widest age range from 18 to 35 years old after Miss Universe.

Miss Earth 2020, the 20th anniversary of the Miss Earth pageant, the first virtual coronation of any major pageant in the world. The pageant was held on 29 November 2020 where Nellys Pimentel of Puerto Rico was succeeded by Lindsey Coffey of the United States at the end of the event. This marked the first time a delegate representing the United States won Miss Earth, becoming the fourth country to win all of the Big Four international beauty pageants at least once.

Roxanne Allison Agnaonao Baeyens, also known by her talent screen name Roxie Smith, is a Filipino-Belgian actress, model, endorser, event and television presenter and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2020 and Miss Earth – Water 2020 Previously, she won the national search of the Face of Tourism Philippines 2019 pageant.
