Miss Teen USA 2020 was the 38th Miss Teen USA pageant. Originally scheduled to be held in spring 2020, the competition was postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was later rescheduled for November 7, 2020, at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee. [1] Kaliegh Garris of Connecticut crowned Ki'ilani Arruda of Hawaii as her successor at the end of the event. [2] The competition was hosted by Allie LaForce and Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst.
The competition marked the first year that a new crown made by luxury jeweler Mouawad was used at Miss Teen USA, effectively retiring the Mikimoto Crown. [3]
For a third consecutive year, the competition was held concurrently alongside the Miss USA competition. This was the last Miss Teen USA to be organized by Miss Universe Organization before being split into its separate organization beginning in Miss Teen USA 2021.
On August 30, 2020, Graceland announced on their schedule that the competition would be held on November 7 on their premises in Memphis, Tennessee. [4] The MUO later confirmed that the competition will be hosted at Graceland the following day. [1]
This was the first time the competition has been hosted in Tennessee since Miss Teen USA 1984 was also held in Memphis.
On October 22, it was announced that the competition would be hosted by Allie LaForce and Cheslie Kryst. LaForce formerly was crowned Miss Teen USA 2005, and has worked as a sports reporter for Fox and Turner Sports, while Kryst was crowned Miss USA 2019 and serves as a correspondent for Extra . [5]
51 delegates from the 50 states and the District of Columbia are selected in state pageants which began in September 2019 and ended in February 2020.
Prior to the final competition, the delegates competed the preliminary competition, which the judges and a presentation show where they competed in swim wear and evening gown. It was held on November 6 at Graceland Exhibition Center and the Soundstage in Memphis and hosted by Kryst and Garris. [6]
The pageant was livestreamed on the Miss Universe Organization's social media channels and on PlayStation 4 consoles as a live event on the U.S. PlayStation Store, while an encore presentation of the pageant was available via catch-up from November 12–15.[ citation needed ]

Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008 prior to her suspension in October 2022, thus returning the said pageants to the Miss Universe Organization.
The Miss North Carolina USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state North Carolina in the Miss USA pageant. This state is part of the RPM Productions group since 1992.

Cheslie Corrinne Kryst was an American television correspondent, model, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned. Was also an attorney and a correspondent for the TV show Extra from October 2019 until her death. For her work on Extra, she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards. Miss USA 2019. Kryst she represented the United States at Miss Universe 2019 she where reach the Top 10, and is the third woman from North Carolina to win Miss USA.

Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina crowned Asya Branch of Mississippi as her successor at the end of the event. Branch is the second consecutive African American to win the title, and the fourth one in five years. This is Mississippi's first win at the Miss USA pageant. Branch represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and placed in the Top 21.

Miss Teen USA 2023 was the 41st Miss Teen USA pageant, held on September 28, 2023 at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. Faron Medhi of Nebraska crowned UmaSofia Srivastava of New Jersey as her successor at the end of the event. Her win was the first win for New Jersey and the first back-to-back titleholders with Indian ancestry in Miss Teen USA's history. Srivastava resigned the title on May 7, 2024. Following Srivastava's resignation, first runner-up Stephanie Skinner declined to take over the role, leaving the position vacant.
