The Miss South Dakota Teen USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of South Dakota in the Miss Teen USA pageant and the name of the title held by that winner.
South Dakota's highest placement was in 1986 when Valerie Marsden placed 4th runner-up to Allison Brown of Oklahoma. [1] Their most recent placement was in 2016, when Makenzie Falcon placed in the top 15.
Four Miss South Dakota Teen USA titleholders have won the Miss South Dakota USA pageant and competed at Miss USA. [2] In 2016, Miss South Dakota Teen USA 2014 Madison McKeown became the first representative of South Dakota to place at the Miss USA pageant since the 1970s. [3]
The pageant was first held in 1982 to select a winner to represent the state at Miss Teen USA 1983. [4] It has been directed by Future Productions since 2002 and is a subsidiary of the Miss Universe Organization. [5] It has been held in Sioux Falls, Aberdeen, Rapid City, Pierre , Brookings, Brandon, and Watertown. [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11]
The current titleholder, Lindsey Pfingston of Rapid City was crowned on June 11, 2023 at the Watertown Event Center in Watertown. She represented South Dakota for the title of Miss Teen USA 2023 in September 2023.

The Miss Nebraska USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state Nebraska in the Miss USA pageant. The pageant is directed by Vanbros & Associates, headquartered in Shawnee, Kansas. In 2002, Nebraska joined the Vanbros group of state pageants for the Miss USA and Teen USA system.
The Miss Georgia USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Georgia in the Miss USA pageant. This pageant is directed Greenwood Productions under the ownership of Miss Tennessee USA 1989 Kim Greenwood and it is hosted in McDonough, Georgia.

Smoak Productions became the new director for Miss and Teen pageants in 2019 under executive director and Miss USA 1995 Shanna Moakler.

From 1993 to 2006, the Miss Colorado Teen USA state pageant was directed by Carol Hirata and the Carlton Group, based in Bellvue, Colorado. In 2007, it was taken over by Future Productions, based in Savage, Minnesota, which also directs pageants in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming. The pageant have been held in Loveland, Greeley and other cities.

The current titleholder receives a $4,000 cash scholarship to any accredited institution of her choice. She also represents the state of Idaho for the live ABC broadcast of the Miss America pageant.

At the conclusion of the event, Meghan Miller of Texas crowned her successor Maria DeSantis of New York. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry and N'SYNC singer Joey Fatone.
Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2008 was the 3rd Miss America's Outstanding Teen pageant held at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on August 11, 2007. At the conclusion of the event, Maria DeSantis of Texas crowned her successor Caitlin Brunell of Virginia. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson and performer Billy Flanigan.
