Miss Puerto Rico is a national title bestowed on the women representing Puerto Rico in international beauty pageants. Currently, Miss Universe Puerto Rico selects the representative for Miss Universe, Miss World Puerto Rico for Miss World, Miss Earth Puerto Rico for Miss Earth and Miss Global, Nuestra Belleza Puerto Rico(Our Beauty Puerto Rico) for Miss International, Miss Supranational, and Miss Grand International, and Miss Intercontinental Puerto Rico for Miss Intercontinental. Since 2023, Puerto Rico is the only nation to have won all eight major international beauty pageants. Not including Miss Intercontinental and Miss Global, Puerto Rico is, since 2019, the first and currently the only country to have won the other six pageants, which are considered the Grand Slam, as they are the most important. Within these, Puerto Rico is one of only five countries to have won the Big Four pageants. With 17 major titles won as of 2023, Puerto Rico is recognized as a powerhouse in the industry of beauty pageants, alongside Venezuela, Philippines, United States, and India.

Miss USA 2013 was the 62nd Miss USA pageant, held on June 16, 2013 at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the title and the pageant was televised live on NBC. Outgoing titleholder Nana Meriwether of Maryland crowned her successor Erin Brady of Connecticut at the end of the event. This was Connecticut's first ever Miss USA crown.
Erin Joyce Brady is an American TV host, model and beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss USA 2013. She then represented the US at Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia, on November 9, where she placed in the Top 10. Brady is the first woman from the state of Connecticut ever to be crowned Miss USA.
Miss Teen USA 2014, the 32nd Miss Teen USA pageant. It was held at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort in Nassau, Bahamas on August 2, 2014, and was hosted by Australian journalist Karl Jeno Schmid and Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady. Cassidy Wolf of California crowned her successor K. Lee Graham of South Carolina at the end of the event.
