Miss Universe Nepal 2022 was the 6th edition of the Miss Universe Nepal pageant and 3rd installment under Umanga Creations, held on 25 August 2022. At the end of the event, Sujita Basnet crowned Sophiya Bhujel as the 6th Miss Universe Nepal to the Miss Universe 2022.

The winner of Miss Universe Nepal 2022 won NPR Rs. 1,000,000 and other prizes.

Image Channel broadcast the pageant live and for all the Nepalese abroad. Miss Universe Nepal 2022 also live streamed on Youtube.

Background

Location and date

The third edition of the Miss Universe Nepal beauty contest was scheduled to be held on 25 August 2022. The press conference of the contest was conducted at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kathmandu. For the first time, the Miss Universe Nepal held workshops in different parts of Nepal. All the Miss Universe Nepal workshops were hosted by the managing director of Miss Universe Nepal Uddhab Adhikari, Miss Universe Nepal 2021 Sujita Basnet, fashion stylist Sagar Gurung and Miss Universe Nepal catwalk trainer, Smith Tamang. Uddhab Adhikari was designated Managing Director by the Umanga Creation Pvt. ltd. after it received the official licence from the Miss Universe organisation. The National Director and the first ever representative of Nepal in Miss Universe 2017, Nagma Shrestha crowned Anshika Sharma as the 4th Miss Universe Nepal to represent Nepal in Miss Universe 2020.

Hidden Treasures Ruslan FM 95.2 Miss Nepal 2020, the 26th Miss Nepal beauty pageant, which was held on 5 December 2020 in Kathmandu, Nepal. During the coronation night, four major winners were crowned as Miss World Nepal 2020, Miss Earth Nepal 2020, Miss International Nepal 2020 and Miss Supranational Nepal 2020. During the coronation night, three winners were crowned by Miss World Nepal 2020 Namrata Shrestha, Miss Earth Nepal 2020 Supriya Shrestha and Miss International Nepal 2020 Sandhya Sharma.

Miss Grand Nepal is an annual female beauty pageant in Nepal, founded in 2016 by a Kathmandu-based businessperson Sazum Katwal of Looks Entertainment, aiming to select the country representative to compete at its parent international pageant Miss Grand International. The license of the contest was later transferred to RK Entertainment Group and Izodom Nepal & Cosmo Group in 2017 and 2019, respectively. However, even lost the contest license in 2019, the RK group has held the Miss Grand national contest annually to select the delegates for other international contests since then. From 2019 to 2022, the contest licensed by the Thai-parent platform was managed by Suresh Tamang.. Currently, Umanga Creations led by Uddhab Adhikari selects the Nepalese representative to Miss Grand International.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Miss Grand Nepal 2022</span> Beauty pageant edition

Miss Grand Nepal 2022 was the fourth edition of Miss Grand Nepal beauty pageant, co-organized by Izodom Nepal, Cosmo Group, and Bolly Club Group, held on 10 September 2022 at Hotel Shanker in Kathmandu. Fourteen national candidates, directly chosen by the central organizer through an online application and the audition round, competed for the title, of whom, Aishworya Shrestha from Bagmati Province was named the winner and then represented the country at Miss Grand International 2022 held on October 25, in Indonesia, but she got a non-placement.

Sophiya Bhujel is a Nepalese beauty pageant titleholder and model who was crowned as Miss Universe Nepal 2022 and represented Nepal at Miss Universe 2022.

Miss Universe Nepal 2023 was the 7th edition of the Miss Universe Nepal pageant and 4th iteration under Umanga Creations, held on September 9, 2023 in Kathmandu. Sophiya Bhujel of Kathmandu crowned Jane Dipika Garrett as 7th Miss Universe Nepal at the end of the event. Jane represented Nepal at Miss Universe 2023, in El Salvador and ended her journey as Top 20 finalist.
