Mix-ism is the fourth album from The Mad Capsule Markets. Mix-ism earned The Mad Capsule Markets their first high rated album on the charts and featured the band experimenting and branching out, showing a more melodious sound overall. The album has a very dark feel to it compared to other releases, mainly coming from the lyrical themes featured. The album was also recorded in England. [1] [2]

Lush (band) English rock band

Lush were an English rock band formed in London in 1987. The original line-up consisted of Miki Berenyi, Emma Anderson, Steve Rippon and Chris Acland (drums). Phil King replaced Rippon in 1991. They were one of the first bands to have been described with the "shoegazing" label. Following the death of Acland, the group disbanded in 1996.

4 Plugs is the sixth album by The Mad Capsule Markets. The album has been known as a turning point in the band's career as it was a departure from the original melodic Japanese rock and punk sound to a more rap metal-based style. The melodious elements heard on Mix-ism and Park are largely gone, the sole exception being "Normal Life", replaced by aggressive and heavy beats. Most fans welcomed this newer sound and style, and the band attracted a new fanbase, but some fans of their earlier sound felt disappointed with their new direction.

The Mad Capsule Market's is a compilation album by Japanese rock band The Mad Capsule Markets. All of the songs have been re-recorded and two have been remixed. On this version of "HI-SIDE", the band displayed more experimentation with the English language and "Walk!!" was remixed by respected dub artist Adrian Sherwood. This was the last album that guitarist Ai Ishigaki played on, and he was later replaced by support guitarist TORUxxx.

Osc-Dis or Oscillator in Distortion is the eighth album by Japanese band The Mad Capsule Markets. It was released in Japan in 1999 and released outside Japan in 2001. Osc-Dis was the band's breakthrough album and finally got them recognized overseas, with the single "Pulse". The album mixes industrial metal, industrial rock and punk rock with various kinds of electronic music. It was more melodic than their previous album and included elements of pop punk. There are vocal contributions from Hirosuke from Balzac, Yamada from Geronimo, and Katsya from NND. This album also saw the birth of the band's mascots The White Crusher and The Cyborn.

Abney Park (band)

Abney Park, a steampunk band based in Seattle, was responsible for initiating the steampunk musical subculture, transforming steampunk from a little known literary genre to a popular movement, and inspiring many later steampunk bands, writers and craftsmen. Their name comes from Abney Park Cemetery in London (UK). Formerly a goth band, Abney Park have transformed their look and sound and have been called the "quintessential" spokespeople of steampunk culture.

Little Mix British girl group

Little Mix are a British girl group consisting of group members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock; former member Jesy Nelson departed the group in 2020. The group rose to prominence by becoming the first group to win the British version of The X Factor in 2011. Their music style is mainly pop, R&B, and dance-pop, with influences from tropical house, Latin pop and electronic music, and lyrics that have often touched upon the themes of female empowerment, body positivity, and LGBT rights.

NCT 127 Sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT

NCT 127 is the first fixed and second overall sub-unit of the South Korean boy band NCT, formed and managed by SM Entertainment. They debuted on July 7, 2016 with the single "Firetruck" and an original lineup of seven members: Taeil, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, Winwin, Mark, and Haechan. Their debut extended play (EP) NCT #127 (2016) was a commercial success upon release, winning them the Best New Group title at several South Korean music award shows. Members Doyoung and Johnny joined the unit in December 2016, ahead of their second EP Limitless (2017); Jungwoo, the final member, was introduced in September 2018 for the group's first studio album Regular-Irregular (2018).

<i>NCT 127</i> (EP) 2016 EP by NCT 127

NCT #127 is the debut extended play (EP) by NCT 127, the multi-national and Seoul-based sub unit of the unlimited boy band NCT. Following the debut announcement by SM Entertainment on July 1, the eponymous extended play was released digitally on July 10, 2016, and physically on July 11, 2016 by the label, with KT Music serving as the South Korea distributor. A heavily hip-hop and EDM influenced release, NCT #127 saw the participation of production team LDN Noise, Tay Jasper, Ylva Dimberg, Chris Wahle, Andreas Öberg, Timothy 'Bos' Bullock, Adrian McKinnon, MZMC, The Colleagues, Double Dragon, and others for both lyrics and production, while SM founder Lee Soo-man served as the EP's executive producer. With the eponymous release, NCT 127 became the first sub-unit to receive a major release. It was also the first, and currently the only release to feature the group as a septet.

<i>Mad Love</i> (JoJo album) 2016 studio album by JoJo

Mad Love is the third studio album by American singer-songwriter JoJo. The album was released on October 14, 2016, through Atlantic Records. Incorporating a base core of R&B, pop and soul music, JoJo wanted the album to take fans through a journey from beginning to end while not only being for her, but relatable to all the fans who stuck by her though her years in limbo, and to serve as the "soundtrack to peoples' lives". It serves as her first major official release in a decade following 2006's The High Road. A deluxe edition of the album featuring 4 bonus tracks was released simultaneously alongside the eleven-track standard edition. JoJo co-wrote every song on the album while also vocal producing every song. The album was JoJo's only album release under Atlantic Records, as she left in August 2017 to form her own label under Warner Records.

Mannequin Pussy is an American punk and indie rock band from Philadelphia. They have released three albums; Mannequin Pussy (2014) and Romantic (2016) on Tiny Engines, and Patience (2019) on Epitaph Records. Their recent EP, Perfect, was released in 2021 to favorable reviews.
