Mohan Shankar, popularly known as Mohan, is a Kannada film actor, who started his acting career in 2000 with the movie Yaarige Saluthe Sambala . He reached the peak of popularity with movies like Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu , Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu and Malla , also starring Ravichandran. He was born on 24 September 1973 and is happily married. He has turned director with the movie Krishna Nee Late Aagi Baaro starring himself, Ramesh Aravind, Nidhi Subbaiah and Neethu. Mohan is multitalented, and is also a writer. He provided the story of movie Lava Kusha , starring Kannada superstars Shivarajkumar and Upendra, written screenplay and dialogues for more than 20 films. He is also participated in Bigboss Kannada Season 4 and was also one among the five finalists.

Viralukketha Veekkam is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by V. Sekhar. The film stars Livingston, Vadivelu, Vivek, Khushbu, Kovai Sarala and Kanaka. It was released on 16 July 1999 and became successful at the box-office. The film was remade into Telugu as Kshemamga Velli Labhamga Randi (2000), into Kannada as Yaarige Saluthe Sambala (2000) and into Hindi as Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya (2001).

Kurigalu Saar Kurigalu is a 2001 Indian Kannada-language comedy film directed and written by Rajendra Singh Babu. The film stars Ramesh Aravind, S. Narayan, Mohan, Bhavana, Ruchita Prasad and Ananth Nag in the lead roles. This is the first film in the Saar series directed by Babu and was released on 23 March 2001 and received generally positive reviews from the critics and turned out to be box-office hit.

B. C. Gowrishankar was an Indian cinematographer and an occasional film director and screenwriter who worked primarily in Kannada cinema. He was known for his unorthodox style as a cinematographer and was recognised for his work in both art and commercial films. Directed by Mohan Shankar and produced by BN Gangadhar. This film is a non-commercial entertainer. Master Snehith plays the autistic boy who struggles to make it big in cricket. Suhasini Maniratnam plays his sister and Sudharani plays an important role. Rajesh Ramanath has composed the music. BN Gangadhar is the Producer of Sachin! Tendulkar Alla. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu as Sachin Tendulkar Kaadhu in 2015.

Yaarige Saluthe Sambala is a 2000 Indian Kannada-language comedy-drama film directed by M. S. Rajashekar and produced by B. G. Hemalatha.
