Mohd Yadzil bin Yaakub (born 14 April 1978) is a Malaysian politician and medical doctor from the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (BN) coalition who has served as Leader of the Opposition of Melaka since December 2022 and Member of the Melaka State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bemban since November 2021. In BERSATU,he has served as State Chairman of Melaka since December 2021,Division Chairman of Jasin since 2020 and served as State Deputy Chairman of Melaka from 2021 to December 2021. In PN,he has also served as State Chairman of Melaka since January 2022 and served as State Deputy Chairman of Melaka from 2021 to January 2022 and Election Director of 2021 Melaka state election. He is also one of the only three Melaka Opposition and PN MLAs alongside Sungai Udang MLA Mohd Aleef Yusof and Rembia MLA Muhammad Jailani Khamis.
On 17 November 2021,Yadzil,PN candidate for the Bemban state seat expressed his confidence in advancing and progressing Bemban. [1] On 20 November 2021,Yadzil was elected into Melaka State Legislative Assembly,winning the Bemban seat from Wong Fort Pin of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition. [2] On 14 December 2021,he was named the State Chairman of PN and BERSATU,replacing Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen,former EXCO member and former Paya Rumput MLA who lost his reelection as an MLA in the state election. [3] On 17 December 2021,Yadzil said he would leave the political affiliations of himself and another PN MLA,Sungai Udang MLA Mohd Aleef Yusof to PN chairman and BERSATU president Muhyiddin Yassin to decide whether they are affiliated with the government or opposition. [4] Muhyiddin decided that they are to be affiliated with the opposition. On 27 January 2022,he was appointed as the State Chairman of Melaka of PN. On 12 December 2022,he as the State Melaka PN and BERSATU Chairman,was expected to take over as State Leader of the Opposition of Melaka from Bukit Katil MLA Adly Zahari of PH after Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali confirmed that PH had joined the state government as strategic partners and the Opposition was then left with only two PN MLAs who are Yadzil and Sungai Udang MLA Mohd Aleef Yusof. This has increased the number of state government MLAs to 26 and strengthened the majority support commanded by the state government led by Sulaiman. The following day on 13 December 2022,he officially did so. [5] [6]
Yadzil has been patron of the Pertubuhan Gagasan Inovasi dan Ekonomi Melaka (GIEM) since 2020. He has also been co-chairman of Innovation and Digitalisation Committee of SME Corp of Malaysia and corporation member of SME Corp of Malaysia since 2021. He was secretary of the Melaka branch of the Koperasi Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia Sdn Bhd in 2019 and medical officer of Melaka hospital from 2005 to 2009.

It is seen as the alternative government and the existing administration's main opponent at a general election.

Dato Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia since 2022,Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation since 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Petra Jaya since March 2004. He is the first DPM from Sarawak,one of the Borneo states in Malaysia and the second DPM not from the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO) after Wan Azizah Wan Ismail from the People's Justice Party (PKR).
Datuk Wira Hajah Mas Ermieyati binti Samsudin is a Malaysian politician who has served as Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) since April 2023 and as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Masjid Tanah since May 2013. The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support,leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority,the collapse of two successive coalition governments,and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government.
The National Alliance is a far-right political coalition composed of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party,Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party,Malaysian People's Movement Party,Sabah Progressive Party,and Malaysian Indian People's Party. Mohd Rafiq bin Naizamohideen is a Malaysian politician who served as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from March 2020 to November 2021 and for the first term in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the PH state administration in March 2020 as well as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Paya Rumput from May 2018 to November 2021. He is also a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition. He was a member of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition and previously PH coalition. He served as the Vice President of BERSATU from August 2020 to his resignation in October 2022,State Chairman of PN and BERSATU of Melaka from January 2021 to his resignations in November 2021.
Muhammad Jailani bin Khamis is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Malacca State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Rembia since May 2018. He served as Member of the Malacca State Executive Council (EXCO) in the Barisan Nasional (BN) state administration under former Chief Minister Sulaiman Md Ali from November 2021 to March 2023 for the third term,from March 2020 to November 2021 for the second term and under former Chief Minister Adly Zahari from May 2018 to the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) state administration in March 2020 for the first term. He is a member of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS),a component party of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO),a component party of the BN coalition before leaving UMNO for PAS and of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the PH coalition before leaving PKR and becoming an independent and supporting the BN coalition for nine months and later joining UMNO. He is also one of the only three Melaka Opposition and PN MLAs alongside State Leader of the Opposition and Bemban MLA Mohd Yadzil Yaakub and Sungai Udang MLA Mohd Aleef Yusof.
