Origins (1949–1983)

Monte Carlo's roots can be traced back to 1949 with the founding of Oswal Woollen Mills (OWM) in Ludhiana, the flagship company of the Nahar Group. Initially focused on woolen yarns and hosiery, OWM laid the groundwork for future expansion into branded apparel. [3] [ verification needed ]
