The Motorola Atrix 2 is a high end Android-based smartphone by Motorola. Originally announced on October 11, 2011, it is the successor to the Atrix 4G. This phone was succeeded by the Motorola Atrix HD.
The Motorola Atrix 2 has a one-gigahertz dual core Texas Instruments OMAP processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It has a 4.3" display with a resolution of 960 by 540. Unlike its predecessor, the Atrix 2 does not use the PenTile matrix. The phone runs Android 2.3. An announced update to Android 4.0.4 has been pushed out over OTA on October 9, 2012 in the United States. This phone supports AT&T's HSPA+ network.
Similarly to the Atrix 4G, the Atrix 2 features Motorola's Webtop software, which allows the use of an Ubuntu-based desktop environment to browse the internet using Firefox, manage files, and access applications on the phone itself through a Mobile View window. [1] [2]
Upon the upgrade to Android 4.0, the Webtop mode was changed to use Android's built-in interface for tablets instead of a separate operating system environment, allowing direct use of apps already present on the device (which sometimes offer layouts optimized for larger displays). [3]

A mobile operating system is an operating system used for smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, smartglasses, or other non-laptop personal mobile computing devices. While computers such as typical/mobile laptops are "mobile", the operating systems used on them are usually not considered mobile, as they were originally designed for desktop computers that historically did not have or need specific mobile features. This "fine line" distinguishing mobile and other forms has become blurred in recent years, due to the fact that newer devices have become smaller and more mobile, unlike the hardware of the past. Key notabilities blurring this line are the introduction of tablet computers, light laptops, and the hybridization of the two in 2-in-1 PCs.
A Nirvana Phone was a marketing phrase coined by Citrix for a smartphone that could be docked with external displays and keyboards to create an alternative desktop or laptop computer system. It was to define a new category of mobile device with a capability beyond a conventional smartphone computer. The NirvanaPhone provides the processor, storage media, display adapter, communication channels, and operating system. The docking station provides power, and connectivity. To be useful the NirvanaPhone differs from a simple smartphone by having significant processing power, video output at high resolution, plus keyboard and mouse input. A smartphone is generally accepted as a device that has both mobile phone capability as well as an operating system that can run applications such as email, web browser, media player and personal organizers. The NirvanaPhone adds external monitor capability which could be a computer monitor, an HDTV, or a video projector. The dock could be a cradle, cable or a wireless connection. This allows the NirvanaPhone to run applications that can utilize a full-sized display for better readability or collaboration. Or in combination with a keyboard and mouse, perhaps using Bluetooth, the NirvanaPhone could act as a thin client connected to a virtual desktop for business use.

It was released on November 14, 2011. It is also the first phone to use Beats Audio technology, and comes with a special pair of the Beats by Dr. Dre's iBeats earphones with black earpieces and red wiring.

On April 27, 2017, Lenovo announced that the ZUK brand would cease operations. In 2015, Lenovo subsumed its own smartphone division into the acquired Motorola brand.

It runs the Android operating system and includes a built-in, sliding keyboard similar to the one on the Motorola Droid 4.

It was advertised as "The full screen phone" with thin edges, though it lacked a robust resolution. It came with a light skin of Android for Verizon Wireless (XT907), SoftBank Mobile (XT902), and Telstra as well as an unbranded retail version for the Australian market. The Electrify M (XT901) for U.S. Cellular is a CDMA handheld with a different housing, but otherwise same specification as the Razr M.
The Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD are Android-based, 4G LTE-capable smartphones designed by Motorola as the successor to the Droid Razr series released nearly a year prior. Notable changes from their predecessors include 720p resolution displays and increased display size while maintaining similar overall dimensions. Additionally, the battery capacity on the standard Razr HD is 42% larger than its predecessor. Both go by the model number XT926. These phones were released on October 18, 2012 exclusively on Verizon Wireless in the United States. The Motorola Razr HD were available as international or global phones in Europe, Latin America, Australia and Canada as early as October 2, 2012. In the summer of 2013, storyboards surfaced of television commercials that have not yet aired. These commercials will feature the Droid Maxx and Droid Ultra, the apparent successors to the Droid Razr Maxx HD and Droid Razr HD, respectively.

Lapdocks are most commonly used with devices that support desktop-style operating modes, such as Samsung DeX and Windows Continuum, which was a feature on Windows 10.
