Due to his early death, Baratashvili left a relatively small literary heritage of fewer than forty short lyrics, one extended poem, and a few private letters, but he is nevertheless considered to be the high point of Georgian Romanticism. The Mtatsminda Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures is a necropolis in Tbilisi, Georgia, where some of the most prominent writers, artists, scholars, and national heroes of Georgia are buried. It is located in the churchyard around St David's Church "Mamadaviti" on the slope of Mount Mtatsminda and was officially established in 1929. Atop the mountain is Mtatsminda Park, an amusement park owned by the municipality of Tbilisi.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Old Tbilisi</span> Tbilisi district in Georgia

Old Tbilisi refers to the historical parts of Tbilisi. Although the term "Old Tbilisi" has long been used to denote the oldest part of the city, it was only in 2007 that it became an official administrative distinct, while also incorporating several historical neighbourhoods formerly included in the districts of Mtatsminda-Krtsanisi, Isani-Samgori, and Didube-Chugureti. The official district was abolished in 2013, with its territories allotted to several other divisions of the capital; however, locals and visitors continue to refer to historical districts as "Old Tbilisi" without precise boundaries.

The Didube Pantheon is a cemetery in Tbilisi, Georgia, where some of the most prominent writers, artists, scholars, scientists and political activists of Georgia are buried. These include Zurab Zhvania (1963–2005), who served as Prime Minister of Georgia in 2004. Among earlier major cultural figures, the Pantheon also has the graves of Kita Abashidze (1870–1917), Luarsab Botsvadze (1866–1919), Soprom Mgaloblishvili, Paolo Iashvili (1894-1937), and a number of other major figures. The remains of Ekvtime Taqaishvili (1863–1953) were transferred from Didube to the Mtatsminda Pantheon in 2002. The remains of Ioseb Kipshidze (1882–1919) were transferred to the Tbilisi State University pantheon in 2013.

Sololaki is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Tbilisi, located in the southwestern part of the city. It is located on the right side of Mtkvari, on the slope of Mount Mtatsminda. It occupies the area between the western slopes of the Sololaki ridge and the southern slopes of the Mtatsminda ridge.
